Heat Exchange Ventilation
Heat Exchange Ventilation
The principle . . . . . .
increase or decrease humidity
ventilation without loss of heat
recovery of thermal energy
potential to reduce air conditioningsystem requirements
Heat Exchange Ventilation
Heat Exchange Ventilation
• Fresh air ventilation increasingly required on internal rooms without window access
23ºC
18ºC 0ºC
Example: Heating Mode
• Helps prevent “sick building syndrome”
• Reclaims 20-50% of the energy lost by ventilation
• Improves energy efficiency, especially during hot and cold seasons

Outdoor air Minimum -10oC
Maximum +40oC
Maximum RH 85% or less
Indoor air Minimum -10oC
Maximum +40oC
Maximum RH 85% or less
Heat Exchange Ventilation
Installation
Power supply 230 vac 50Hz 1 ph & ground
Supply cables 1.5mm2
Standards Installation should comply withall national and local electrical codes & standards as required
Isolation The power supply should be Isolated and the unit protected with the correctly sized isolator and mcb
Heat Exchange Ventilation
Installation
The unit is fitted with four support brackets which must be used for fixing the unit.
It is recommended that the unit is fixedusing 10mm or 12mm diameter drop rods
Ensure that adequate service access is provided for filter and heat exchangerelement removal
Heat Exchange Ventilation
Installation
Ductwork connections (supply and return)
VN 250SE 150mm diameter
VN 350SE 150mm diameter
VN 1KSAE 250mm diameter
VN 800SE 250mm diameter
VN 500SE 200mm diameter
All external ductwork must be insulated to prevent condensation
All external ductwork joints must be taped to prevent air leakage
Start up
