Public event / open clinic

• On May 12th, in the department of heart failure of Institute of Cardiology we conducted open doors days, where all patients with HF had free unrestricted access to all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, provided free medications, video materials about living with HF. They had opportunity to connect to other persons with HF and their caregivers, share their skilling of living with HF and deal with this problem.

• We provided them printed materials concerning warning signs, symptoms and events dairy, medicine chart, monitoring charts, appointment records.

• The main goal was to actively include patients and their caregivers in the HF management program, and to explain them when and how they have to connect with HF team as soon as possible in order to save lives.

Public events / open clinic

• On May 13th, 2017 HF WG of Armenia and Gold`s Gym Armenia with cardiovascular disease patients group organised away session on the Lastiver “Apaga” resort, where we show healthy lifestyle, healthy cooking, physical activity (e.g. training and climbing) and help patients and their caregivers to understand importance of healthy lifestyle and teach them these habits. The main message is that heart failure is preventable and treatable disease.

Public events: training in Tsiternakaberd Avenue, Yerevan

• On May 9th, 2017 HF WG of ACA and Gym Armenia with young healthy people and cardiovascular diseases patients group organised outdoor session on the TsiternakaberdAvenue, near sport complex after K.Demirchan Yerevan, where we show benefits of physical activity (training). The key message is the prevention is the best and the cheapest way in order to face (battle) with cardiovascular diseases, e.g. with HF.

Our other activities

• We participated in HFA days survey and collected data of 99 patients with HF.

• Our new book «Heart Failure» have been published by « Antares » publisher and free samples were spread among health-care professionals.

• We condusted Seminars in Library of Health ministry of Armenia with cardiologists, general practicians, family medicine and other specialist in order to create HF multidisciplinary team.

• We translated, implementated and widely used HF guidelines, HF and HF nurse curriculum, position paper, white paper in HF.

• Use of cost-effective drugs, i.e. made in Armenia.

• HF matters for patients are now available in our facebookpage and very soon will be available in creating page of Armenian Cardiologist Association.

• Now we are waiting for permission of HFA to translate HFA matters page in Armenian in order to create HF patients group with the most active and educated ones, mainlywomen pensioners, whose contact data we have and whoare very exited and agitated, and also interested to learnand why not to teach other patients with HF.
