• Calls to the OTH from smokeless users increased 265% in the first two weeks of the campaign

– Week 1 – 95 smokeless callers

– Week 2 – 124 smokeless callers

• We also saw an increase in male smokers trying to quit

– Overall call volume was up 51% during the first two weeks of the campaign

– Focus on health systems change and provider education

– During FY16, 10,996 fax referrals and 2,169 electronic referrals

• Tribal Cessation Workgroup

– Focus on individuals that are disproportionately affected by tobacco dependence

– 44.7% Increase in American Indian utilization of the OTH from FY15 to FY16 (2,792 to 4,039)

OTH Success

• New messaging and services in FY16

resulted in a 43% in OTH utilization

–37,061 tobacco users registered for services

• In FY 16, there were 2,366 smokeless tobacco users that completed an intervention

–47.7% increase compared to FY15

– Treatment reach of 1.3% in FY16 compared to 0.9% in FY15
