A Report

Rural health care is one of the biggest challenges that India is facing today. Most of

our students are from rural areas and they hail from socially, economically weaker sections

and are also first generation learners. Therefore they lack awareness about health, hygiene

and also many of them are anemic, without proper food habits. Considering the entire picture

the institution has setup a Health Club and Health Care center in the college with objectives

mentioned below.

Vision:

Promoting Good Health for All.

Objectives:

Increase awareness and knowledge about importance of nutritious food and healthy

food habits.

To provide information about common gyenic problems, diseases and preventive

measures.

To sensitize the students about personal health care.

To build capacity in terms of physical and mental aspects.

To conduct health check-up camps, support and provide proper health care guidance.

To check BMI count and suggest necessary measures basing on the findings.

Constitution of the Committee:

Every year in consultation with faculty members, the Head of the Institution constitutes

health committee to plan and execute health care activities.

vitamin supplements and

washing liquids were supplied

to students by Mankind

pharma.

Impact:

The students were made aware of the health issues and the evidence was based on

feedback collected from them. Many of them felt that these programs are highly effective and

beneficial to them.
