Orthopedics Hospital• Midwest Orthopedics at Rush in Chicago, IL is a regional

leader in comprehensive orthopedic services.• The physicians of Midwest Orthopedics have received

specialized training in orthopedic surgery and in subspecialty areas within the field of orthopedic medicine and can diagnose and treat the most complicated and rare orthopedic conditions (Midwest Orthopedics at Rush).

• The physicians are supported by a professional staff of:– physician assistants – registered nurses – athletic, physical and occupational therapists – cast room and X-ray technicians – administrative personnel

– Cartilage Restoration– Sports Medicine– Orthopedic Oncology– Orthopedic Trauma– Pediatric Orthopedics

• The population served by Midwest Orthopedics are patients in need of care and research to address major orthopedic health problems.

• To be licensed as a Orthopedic Hospital, the facility shall maintain and operate organized facilities and services to accommodate one or more non-related persons for a period exceeding twenty-four (24) hours for the diagnosis, treatment or care of patients and must medical and surgical care of acute illness, injury or infirmity.

• The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commissions and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare.

Clinic• Founded in 1993, Community Health provides medical

services for the uninsured and underserved in Chicago and surrounding communities (Community Health).

• Community Health is the largest free clinic in Illinois.• Community Health operates with over 750 volunteers,

including:– physicians – nurses – nurse practioners – dentists – pharmacists

ClinicCommunity Health offers:• free primary and specialty care• preventive health screenings• vaccinations• diagnostic testing • and services• case management • educational programs• Dental• Physical Therapy• Social Work• Surgery (in-office procedures)The population served at this clinic is very diverse. They provide services to

low income patients who are under insured and or uninsured.
