• Tips for taking CDC Training Course

• Learn who can earn Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for completing course

• Step 2:Locate link on left side of page: “School Toolkit”








• Step 3:Click on link: “Recognizing, Preventing, and Treating Heat-

Related Illness: A Web-Based CDC Training Course” (After clicking, you will be taken to the beginning of the course)








• Take notes! This will help you during posttest!

• Give yourself enough time to complete course and posttest!

• Carefully read instructions and scenarios!

• Don’t rush!

WHO CAN EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS (CECs)?

• Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

• Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) -- Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc (NCHEC)

• Continuing Education Units (CEU) through the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET)








• After completing the course, a link will be provided to connect you with the CDC continuing education site

• Click on the link

• You will be asked to find the course and register for the course

• Once you have registered, you will be directed to take the posttest to earn Continuing Education Credit

• You must pass the posttest to receive your continuing education credit
