This position will be part of the Office of Engagement Executive which includes the Vice President Engagement, Director - Alumni and Development, Business Manager, Corporate Communications Manager and Editor of the Newsroom. Plus a wider team of (circa 20) staff.

An overview of current activities undertaken by the Office include:

FundraisingThe University has an annual target to generate new donations to support a range of initiatives. The aim is to build the fundraising efforts across the University, which is timely as the institution enters its 30th year.

The majority of the current fundraising plan is directed towards three areas:

• Student scholarships (especially in targeted areas such as sport and indigenous)

• Research targeted at specific research centres and projects

• One-off infrastructure builds

Major gifts are generated from a small but loyal group of individuals. The University has an effective program of reporting and stewardship around these major donors. However, the challenge is to grow this pool of generosity.

Giving to Bond ProgramAs a non-profit institution, any annual surpluses are fed back into the University to further enhance and support the student experience. The Ambition Fund encourages past students, and other supporters of Bond, to make an annual contribution to the University.

The Chancellor’s Circle acknowledges individuals who make a significant donation towards the University to support its learning and teaching endeavours. The Chancellor’s Circle is seen as one strategy to elevate individuals to major donors.
