J OAN JOYCE
Head Coach
Joyce is the first and only
head coach in FAU softball
history. Under Joyce, the program
has won 10 conference champion-
ships (1997-2004, 2006-2007) and made 7 NCAA
Tournament appearances (1999-2004, 2006). In
addition, Joyce has coached five conference Players
of the Year, two Pitchers of the Year and twice, the
conference Freshman of the Year. Individually, Joyce
helped sculpt the career of Nikki Myers, a 2-time
Second-Team All-American who finished her career
third in NCAA history in strikeouts. Coach Joyce
oversees all aspects of the softball program and
works closely with the pitching staff.

DIRECTIONS TO THE FAU SOFTBALL FIELD…
You can get to FAU from either I-95 or the
turnpike. Either way, exit on Glades Road,
and head East on Glades. When you see
the campus (it’s about a mile from I-95, a
few miles from the turnpike), take the 1st
entrance into campus (NW 10th
Ave / West
University Drive). You’ll be making a left
onto campus. Once on campus, follow
West University Drive and make a left on
Volusia Street (it’s the 2nd
traffic light). Go
straight on Volusia and make a right turn at
the first stop sign (just past “The Burrow”,
our basketball arena which is the big build-
ing to the right). You will come to another
stop sign, go straight, and the softball field
will be to your left.
