Our passionate belief in the importance of education, coupled with a strong conviction that education is a human right, led us to establish a number of innovative schools, including the web-based Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University and the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College of Business-Bahrain. Prior to that, we founded the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business-Jordan, as well as various academies, including the Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills Center and the Confucius Institute for the teaching of the Chinese language. We firmly believe that education is the primary driver of development in the Arab world.

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI-Auditors) has led the Arab accounting profession through its rapid development during the last four decades. It was among the first to apply international accounting standards in the Arab world and, nowadays, it is known across the region as a name that is synonymous with high standards and integrity in the fields of accounting, auditing and financial services. IASCA also aspires to support the professional independence of accountants and ensure their protection. The Society promotes the application of professional supervisory measures as a way to advance the professions of accounting and auditing. It also works to develop and facilitate the continuous dissemination and exchange of professional and technical information among accountants by holding conferences, meetings, seminars, training courses, and academic gatherings, in addition to encouraging academic and professional research.

IASCA has achieved a reputable professional position at both Arab and international levels. Given its concern for bringing the accounting and auditing professions in the Arab world to the highest international professional levels, IASCA monitors laws and legislation related to these professions, aiming to enhance the role of Arab accountants at the international arena. The Society was established on February 23, 1987 in Munich, Germany under the name “Arab Society for the Protection of Industrial Property”. LES-AC was founded in 1997 as the Arab Licensing and Technology Transfer Society (ALTTS). LES-AC is a member of the Licensing Executive Society International (LESI). It is the first non-profit Arab regional society that aims to educate the business community, governmental and public bodies on the economic importance of licensing, technology transfer, protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), and research and development (R&D) investments.

In addition to its member community, training courses, publications and other activities, it launched the Arab Certified IP Licensing Practitioner (ACIPLP) professional training program in 2007.

The Arab Knowledge and Management Society (AKMS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 in Buffalo, New York and was officially registered in Amman on October 10, 1990. The Arab Intellectual Property Mediation and Arbitration Society (AIPMAS) was established under the name of the Arab Society for Protecting Industrial Property on May 31, 1987, in accordance with the provisions of the Social Societies and Commissions No. 33 for 1966, and the modified law No. 9 for 1971, as a Jordanian society with public profit.

The Society was established with support from the Arab Society for the Protection of Industrial Property (Munich, Germany), which is the “Original Society” under whose umbrella the activities and events of the Society are carried out.

The Society promotes and reinforces the system of Intellectual Property in Jordan, in addition to strengthening the knowledge of those working in this field. The Society also focuses on the activities of its Center of Mediation and Arbitration which resolves conflicts in the area of Intellectual Property through international arbitrators applying international rules.

The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-profit independent association established in 2007 with the fundamental objective of raising the quality of education in the Arab world.

» UNESCO

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

and TAG-Org signed a cooperation agreement to work together on building inclusive knowledge societies and promoting Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to support education, science and culture in the Arab world.

The agreement reflects the commitment of both TAG-Org and UNESCO to mobilize partners to build Arab knowledge societies, notably by increasing access to and measuring the use of ICT in different sectors of society, enhancing teacher training, and promoting Internet Domain Names in the Arabic script.

» SABEQ

The USAID Jordan Economic Development Program (SABEQ) and TAG-Org signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to sustain and develop the objectives of all professional sectors in Jordan.

The MoU streamlines access to the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAG-SB) data on Jordanian best practices and methodologies to enrich the content of the Professional Communities portal, which is a tool for professionals in their respective fields. The portal serves to provide high-quality learning resources that support institutional reform of Professional Community member institutions. TAG-SB provides Professional Community members access to its inventory of research papers conducted by professors and students in Jordan.

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI-Auditors), a subsidiary of TAG-Org, and Microsoft, the world leader in software technologies, signed a partnership and cooperation agreement to work together on a number of key initiatives and projects.

The agreement covers a wide range of functionalities and technologies, such as information rights management, automation, enterprise application integration, training services, and consulting services.

» University of Cambridge International Examination

In a pioneering step to contribute to the creation of the Arab knowledge society and as part of its effort to bridge the digital divide and combat ICT illiteracy, the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills Center (AGCA-ITC) was established in collaboration with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)–University of Cambridge to deliver validated IT Skills examinations certified by CIE.
