MISSION
HD Monitoring MARCH 2008
PAQ4411.1
To help broadcasters to keep their listeners loyal
By monitoring 24/7 quality and continuity of the HD signals
By ensuring a transparent blend between digital and analog programs (time and level alignment)
To help broadcasters to comply with FCC rules
By monitoring the NRSC mask,…
By triggering automatic actions when facing out of tolerance conditions
To help broadcasters with their HD transitions
By providing innovative tools with permanent and automatic monitoring capabilities as well as remote control capabilities.

PHILOSOPHY
HD Monitoring MARCH 2008
PAQ4411.1
A smart modulation monitor
GE HD can monitor multiple stations continuously on an automatic scanning cycle, using an external antenna or directly connected to the RF probe
GE HD makes sure the critical parameters are within pre-configured “normal” windows
Out of tolerance conditions automatically generate an alarm (emails, voice message, relay, SNMP trap), and/or automatic actions
GE HD can be reached remotely via TCP/IP for real-time measurements, audio streaming, configuration, event log consultation…

CARTOGRAPHIC INTERFACEa map interface displays a clear and immediate view of the status of all stations in your network. (3 levels of zoom).
REAL TIME ALARM MANAGEMENT
The map allows the user to see quickly which site has an alarm on it by a flashing red light .The user can access the equipment and analyze the alarm directly from this map.Enhanced rerouting of alarms to engineers (Fax, Email, SMS).Last 3 alarms can be displayed on all MANAGER pages.
STRATEGIC DECISION MAKING TOOLGroups all relevant information from the network into centralized open database.Database can be filtered and sorted to generate statistics for decision making purposes. These statistics provide a clear view of network efficiency and enable the user to optimize maintenance tasks
