HBF + HBF TEXTILES PRODUCT SELECTION GUIDANCE

HBF and HBF Textiles products can meet Health Care Without Harm’s Healthy Interiors Criteria, version 2.3. by using the following guidance. Customer choice plays an important role in avoiding undesired chemicals and treatments. Furniture and options specified must meet all criteria below:

1. Formaldehyde•HBF furniture that is Indoor Advantage™ Gold certified qualifies. Exclusions, if applicable, are listed on eachcertificate which is publicly available on the SCS Global Services Website:https://www.scsglobalservices.com/certified-green-products-guide

2. Per and Poly-fluorinated Compounds (PFAS)*PFAS-free fabrics are available. Customers are responsible for the COM fabric treatments and chemical contents.

3. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)*Conference: Some small parts, electrical casings and some non-work surface edges may contain PVC in anamount less than 1% of the total product weight. Non-PVC edge banding is available for laminate work surfaces.Veneered work surfaces are PVC free. For Seating products, Vinyl upholstery (PVC) fabrics must be avoided.

4. Antimicrobials*Antimicrobial-free fabrics are available. Customers are responsible for the COM fabric treatments and chemicalcontents.

5. Flame Retardants*The materials used in HBF’s products are free of flame retardants, but customers must select fabrics that are alsofree of flame retardants. Some Vinyl upholstery, polyurethanes, and some high-performance textiles must beavoided. Customers are responsible for the COM fabric treatments an chemical contents.

* Please note that it is not feasible to provide laboratory testing data of product and materials. HBF has worked with our suppliers to determine whether thechemicals and treatments listed are not included in products above the guideline threshold limits unless specifically ordered by the customer. Customers areresponsible for the chemical treatments and content of COM fabrics.
