OIL & GAS SECTOR

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT STUDY FOR 3D/2D SEISMIC SURVEY OF BLOCK 8, IRAQ - PAKISTAN PETROLEUM PROJECT

Pakistan Petroleum is the operator of Block 8, an exploration block located in eastern Iraq. To optimize the development of Block 8, Pakistan Petroleum has undertaken 3D/2D seismic survey of the field. Block 8 is part of Iraq’s twelve (12) new hydrocarbon exploration blocks and is classified as a gas-prone field, with potential for oil and condensates.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study was awarded to Dome for the 3D/2D Seismic Survey of Block 8 project by Pakistan Petroleum. The scope of the study includes identification and assessment of potential environmental impacts associated with the 3D/2D Seismic survey. The scope of the study includes undertaking baseline environmental survey for ambient air quality, ambient noise quality, soil sampling, water sampling, sediment sampling and ecology survey.

Worked as Project Manager and was responsible for project management, guidance to project team, preparing and reviewing EIA and attending technical clarification meetings, etc.

ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT STUDY FOR SHAKAL BLOCK DEVELOPMENT, KURDISTAN REGION, IRAQ - GAZPROM MIDDLE EAST.

Gazprom Middle East is designated to explore and develop the Shakal Block within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Shakal Block is a hydrocarbon field with potential for oil and condensates, located at the southern-end of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study was awarded to Dome for development of Shakal field. The scope of this ESIA study is limited to the Seismic survey (3D) works and Drilling of two exploratory wells in 2014 (Shakal 3 and Shakal 2) and one well each in the year 2015 and 2016.

Gazprom Middle East is designated to explore and develop the Halabja Block within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Halabja Block is a hydrocarbon field with potential for oil and condensates, located adjacent to the Iraq-Iran border within the Sulaymaniyah Province in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study was awarded to Dome for development of Halabja field. The scope of this ESIA study is limited to Seismic survey (2D) works and drilling of one exploratory well in the years 2015, 2016 and 2017.

PHASE 1 HSEIA STUDY FOR BAB INTEGRATED FACILITIES PROJECT (BIFP) – PETROFAC.

Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) intends to increase its crude oil production from current production rate of 1.4 Million Barrels Oil per Day (MMBOPD) to 1.8 MMBOPD. This increase in production will be achieved by developing different reserves (building block development) in ADCO fields. Petrofac Emirates LLC (Petrofac) has been appointed by ADCO as FEED engineer for the Project. Petrofac has commissioned Dome to carry out the Phase 1

PHASE III HSEIA FOR BUNDUQ FACILITIES - BUNDUQ OIL PRODUCING COMPANY

Bunduq Oil Producing Company is the operator of Bunduq field, which is an offshore oilfield located on the border of the Abu Dhabi, UAE and Qatar. The Bunduq concession was granted directly by the government of Abu Dhabi and Qatar. The first production from the field was in November 1975. Bunduq commissioned HSEIA study for its existing facilities, which include the offshore production and processing complex, the headquarters and supply warehouse in the mainland Abu Dhabi. Dome was retained by Bunduq to carry out the HSEIA study.

PHASE I HSEIA FOR CICPA SHAH ACCOMMODATION COMPLEX PROJECT – ABU DHABI ONSHORE OIL

COMPANY (ADCO)

The Abu Dhabi Onshore Oil Company (ADCO) is planning to build accommodation facilities for the officers of the Critical Infrastructure & Coastal Protection Authority (CICPA) working in Shah Area. Dome was contracted by ECG, the design consultant for the Project hired by ADCO, to conduct a Phase I Health, Safety and Environmental Impact Assessment (HSEIA) for this Project.

Worked as author of EIA and OHRA sections of the HSEIA study and air & noise modeler for the project activities.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT STUDY FOR NEW PUMPING STATIONS OF LIGHT PRODUCTS

PIPELINE (SHUAIBA – KARKH), IRAQ – APS ENGINEERING COMPANY.

The “New Pumping Stations of Light Products Pipeline (Shuaiba – Karkh) Project” is part of the expansion of light products pipeline from Shuaiba to Karkh in Iraq. The Shuaiba-Karkh pipeline includes a new pipeline with a total length of 533 km, four pumping stations and three receiving stations.

Worked as Project Manager and was responsible for project management, guidance to project team and reviewing EIA.

PHASE III HSEIA FOR BAB GAS COMPRESSION PROJECT - ABU DHABI ONSHORE OIL COMPANY

(ADCO)

Gas field reservoir monitoring in recent years reveals significant pressure depletion over gas produced in Thamama C and D and F Units 6 and 7 reservoirs. In response to this, ADCO is implementing the Bab Gas Compression Project to boost the pressure in gas trunk lines in order to sustain gas production and to meet current and future gas demands. The project includes the installation of three (3) gas compressor stations (GCSs), to increase the pressure of gas from the Bab field.

Worked as author of EIA and OHRA sections of the HSEIA study and air & noise modeler for the project activities.

Gas Corporation (KOGAS), is undertaking the Preliminary Development Plan (PDP) Phase of the Mansuriya Gas Field Development Project. The field is targeted to produce 320 MMSCFD of sales gas for 13 years when fully developed.

PHASE 1 HSEIA STUDY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF 20” LEAN GAS PIPELINE FROM BUHASA TO BAB TO TH.C – ABU DHABI GAS INDUSTRIES (GASCO)

Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (GASCO) has intended to replace the existing 20” BuHasa-Bab Lean gas pipeline by a new 24” pipeline due to external corrosion. The new lean gas Pipeline project will mainly include the design and construction of a new 24” lean gas pipeline from BuHasa to Bab and from Bab to Thamama C, including launching and receiving facilities. In addition and due to external corrosion, the existing 20” Bu Hasa – Bab lean gas pipeline will be demolished

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT STUDY FOR IL & FS PRIME TANK TERMINALS – MUC OIL & GAS ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY

IL & FS Prime Terminals FZC is establishing IL & FS Prime Tank Terminals project, to be located at Fujairah Free Zone, Fujairah. The proposed Tank Farm will consist of 25 storage tanks with an aggregate capacity of 632,678 m3 but with working capacity of 583,191 m3 to store various petroleum products and will have the potential to carry out physical blending of different fuel oils.

Worked as air & noise modeler for the project activities.

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING FOR LUKOIL PROJECT IN WEST QURNA-2, IRAQ.

Ongoing project from year 2013 to 2015, working as project Manager and responsible for project management, guidance to field team, leading field team, conducting noise, air and river water sampling, organizing and attending technical clarification meetings, etc.

LUKOIL Mid-East Limited (LUKOIL) is the designated operator of the West Qurna-2 Contract Area. LUKOIL has initiated a comprehensive plan to conduct Environmental Monitoring of its West Qurna-2 oilfield in order to assess the effectiveness of operational controls and demonstrate compliance to South Oil Company (SOC) requirements and Iraqi environmental laws.

ABU DHABI OIL CO. (ADOC) EMISSION INVENTORY

The study comprised of conducting emission inventory, based on ADNOC Codes of Practice for environmental monitoring and reporting. The basic approach to this study was to conduct emission quantification for the existing facilities reflecting the current status of the company’s discharges.

The main objectives of the emission inventory study are to identify & quantify the various pollution sources associated with the different types of ADOC operations including air, effluents, waste and noise pollution.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF BASEMENT PROCESSING UNIT TRAIN, KHARIR BASEMENT

PROJECT PHASE 1 - TOTAL E&P YEMEN

TOTAL E&P Yemen is operating Kharir field, an onshore oil and gas field in Yemen. The facilities are located east of Shabwa, in the Hadramawt province about 600 km to the East of Sanaa, the capital

of Yemen.

In its efforts to increase oil production, TOTAL has initiated the “Kharir Basement Phase- I Project”. As a part of this project, TOTAL intends to construct a new dedicated Central Processing Unit train of 30,000 BPD capacity, for processing reservoir fluid from the Basement Reservoir.

The project included the preparation of the EIA for Kharir Field Development Project including Environmental Baseline Surveys (EBS) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

PHASE 2 HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR THE ADDITION OF 10 NEW

WELLS ON EXISTING WELLHEAD TOWERS IN ZAKUM FIELD - ADMA-OPCO

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) is undertaking development of Zakum field Thamama IV as part of Zakum field long term plan to maintain a sustainable production of 325 MSBPD. To achieve this production target, ADMA-OPCO has decided to upgrade 10 wellhead towers of Zakum field. The existing WHT’s will be modified to accommodate the 10 new wells in line with the same operational standards/philosophy as for the existing wells.

Worked as author of EIA section of the HSEIA study and air & noise modeler for the project activities.

PHASE 1 HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR FERTIL 2 PROJECT – RUWAIS FERTILIZER INDUSTRIES

Ruwais Fertilizer Industries Ltd. (FERTIL) plans to build a second ammonia/urea plant, FERTIL 2, to increase the overall production of granulated urea. The FERTIL 2 facility will be located in the Ruwais Industrial Complex adjacent to the existing FERTIL 1 site. The FERTIL 2 consists primarily of Ammonia, urea melt and urea granulation process units; Facilities for storage of intermediate and final products; and all necessary supporting facilities.

Worked as air & noise modeler for the project activities as part of an HSEIA study.

PHASE 1 HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR GASCO-BAB GAS

TREATMENT PLANT MODIFICATION.

Worked as air & Noise modeler for GASCO Bab Gas Treatment Plant modification project. The project will allow the existing plant to handle feed gas with H2S content of up to 7.3 mole percent from the present 3.3 mole percent.

PHASE 3 HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR GASCO 3RD NGL TRAIN

PROJECT.

Worked as air Modeler for Ruwais 3rd NGL Train Project which is part of a major initiative being undertaken by Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd (GASCO) for expansion of its gas processing business, with the objective of producing more condensate and NGL.

PHASE 1 HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR GUP EXPANSION PROJECT

- TAKREER

Worked as air & Noise Modeler for the General Utility Plant (GUP) at Ruwais Refinery Complex, 240 kilometers west of Abu Dhabi City. The GUP supplies include electricity, seawater, distillate, potable water; and demineralized water.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (COMBINED PHASE 1 AND 2) FOR CLOSED

DRAIN SYSTEM PROJECT AT ADCO RDS AT BAB – GALFAR ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING WLL EMIRATES

Worked as air Modeler for Bab remote degassing station. The project included modifications to the already existed station to improve operability and safety of the facilities. The proposed modifications consist of provision of a closed drain system at RDS comprising of drain vessel in concrete pit, duty / standby and piping.

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING STUDIES (EMS) FOR ADCO’S ALL FACILITIES

ADCO was initiated a comprehensive plan to conduct an Environmental Monitoring Study over its operational oil and gas fields and terminals, in order to assess the effectiveness of operational controls and demonstrate compliance with ADNOC requirements.

This study involved the monitoring of various in-plant source discharges (air emissions, liquid discharges and waste), as well as ambient environmental quality in surrounding areas (air, noise, groundwater, soil and marine). Study was carried out for two seasons i.e. summer (June’10 to August’10) and winter (December’10 to February’11).

The Scope of Work of the EBS included: Air Quality Survey (by Diffusion Tubes); Ecological Survey; Soil Quality Survey; Groundwater Quality Survey; Noise Survey; Effluent Quality Survey; Marine Ecology Survey; Radio Active and Non Radio Active Hazardous Survey;

PHASE 4 HSEIA FOR THE REMOVAL OF GASCO’S 16” MAQTA – BANIYAS PIPELINE AND ADCO’S JARN YAPHOUR – UMM AL NAR 18” TRANSFERLINE

The project included the removal and disposal the 16” Maqta – Baniyas Pipeline (Approx 18.4 km) including all its ground facilities.

Worked as the main consultant for the Health Safety and Environmental Impact Assessment for the pipelines and associated facilities.

PHASE 2&3 HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR INTER-REFINERIES

PIPELINE (IRP) - TAKREER

Air and Noise Modeller for the Inter Refinery Pipeline Phase – II (IRP-II) project. The project included numerous pipelines and storage tanks terminals in Mussafah, Al Ain and Madinat Zayed.

PHASE 3 HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR ZAKUM GAS PROCESSING

FACILITIES (GPF) – ADMA-OPCO

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) intends to proceed with the commissioning and operation of the Gas Processing Facilities (GPF) Project in Zakum oilfield. The GPF is a new gas treatment platform that will augment the existing gas processing capability of Zakum West Super Complex (ZWSC). It will handle the projected increase in the production of associated gas from Zakum oilfield and will be connected to the existing ZWSC via a bridge to the ZWSC-NRP (New Riser Platform).

PHASE 1 HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR 3D SEISMIC SURVEY AT

SATAH FIELD - ZAKUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (ZADCO)

To optimize further development of Satah field, ZADCO proposed to undertake a high quality/high definition 3D Seismic survey of the area. The seismic survey will cover an area of approximately 207 km2 over Satah field, which is located 190km WNW of Abu Dhabi city and 17km north of Arzanah Island.

Worked as author of Occupational Health Risk Assessment (OHRA) section of the HSEIA study.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR FUJAIRAH REFINERY TANK FARM – VITOL DUBAI LTD.

The project involved the development of tank farm in the emirate of Fujairah. Full EIA involving all necessary surveys, air/noise impact modeling, impacts assessment, mitigation measures, and development of outline environmental management & monitoring plans.

POWER & WATER PROJECTS

IMPLEMENTATION OF ESMP FOR AL HARTHA POWER PLANT, BASRA, IRAQ

Ongoing project from year 2012 to 2014, working as project Manager and Field Team Leader. Responsibilities including project management, leading field team, organizing and attending technical clarification meetings, conducting training, environmental audit and baseline surveys. The Project includes the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for the Al-Hartha Power Plant Project to ensure that adverse environmental and social impacts of the project as identified in the project’s ESIA are minimized or eliminated. To ensure this the following activities are being undertaken:

Task 1 - Needs assessment and preparation of a comprehensive work plan for implementing the ESMP;

Task 2 - Assistance to the PMU in specifying and selecting environmental monitoring equipment;

Task 3 - Implementation of the ESMP requirements during construction; Task 4 - Training and capacity building on impacts mitigation and environmental

monitoring during operation.

PRELIMINARY ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW (PER) FOR THE WATER SUPPLY PIPELINE TO ZARAH WEST

AND ZARAH EAST ISLANDS - HALCROW INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP (HALCROW)

Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) is planning to construct a water supply pipeline to Zarah West and Zarah East Islands from its existing water pipeline system in Samaliya Island. The project will include the construction and operation of a pumping station, a reservoir tank and associated equipment in addition to the pipelines. The system will be connected to the existing ADDC pipeline in Samaliya Island.

Emaar Properties (Emaar) is planning to undertake the Arabian Ranches Phase 2 Project. This project is an extension of the existing Arabian Ranches Phase 1, a mixed‐use gated community development. The Arabian Ranches Phase 2 is designed to be a true representation of Emirati culture as well as hospitality. It is planned to accommodate about 11,689 residents, 417 workers and 3,925 visitors.

Worked as PM/lead consultant for the project, full EIA involving all necessary surveys, air/noise impact modeling, impacts assessment, mitigation measures, and development of outline environmental management & monitoring plans.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA) FOR DAMAC GOLF RESORT COMMUNITY - DAMAC

DAMAC Properties Co. LLC (DAMAC) is planning to develop the Damac Golf Resort Community (DGRC). This project is a high quality mixed use complex covering an area of approximately 2.65 km2. The proposed project site is located within the Dubailand in Dubai, adjacent to the west of Al Qudra Road between Emirates Road and the Dubai Bypass Road.

The main elements of the projects include residential areas, including villas, town houses and apartments; an 18-hole golf course; a Clubhouse, with hotel and spa; and Commercial retail outlets.

Responsible for evaluating the current health and safety plan of the client, identifying construction related impacts, ecological and socio-economic sensitivity mapping and formulating administrative and engineering measures/procedures to abate if not eliminate the adverse construction related impacts. The CEMP was prepared following best international practice on CEMP consistent with the environment agency’s (EAD) guidelines for similar projects.

ADVANCED MILITARY MAINTENANCE REPAIR AND OVERHAUL CENTRE (AMMROC) ENABLING WORK

PROJECT - CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT PLAN (CEMP)

Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala) is undertaking the enabling works of Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Centre (AMMROC) in Al Ain. The project involves the setting up of temporary office and welfare facilities, development of temporary site access and haul roads, erection of site perimeter hoarding, transplanting of existing Ghaf trees to another location, diversion of 11 kV power cable and diversion of irrigation network. Responsible for the preparation of the CEMP as per EAD guidelines.

Sigma Factory for Steel Products is one of the companies of IKK Group and plans to establish a metal fabrication facility in Dubai Industrial City (DIC). SFSP is a manufacturer of different steel construction products like expanded metals; cladding fixations; cable trays, cable trunking, cable ladders, cable supports; dry wall ceiling accessories, lintels and block work accessories like reinforcing mats; garbage and linen chutes; and strut channels.

Worked as PM/lead consultant for the project, EIA involving impacts assessment, mitigation measures, and development of outline environmental management & monitoring plans.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH

METITO NOISE SURVEY

Occupational exposure noise survey for 18 Blowers operated by Metito Company. The scope of work involved undertaking the occupational exposure noise survey in 3 waste water treatment plants operated by the company.

GOLTENS OHRA STUDY

The project included OHRA study for Goltens facility at Al Jadaf in Dubai. Goltens provides all the traditional services related to ship repairing and maintenance and also offers specialized services like repairing governors, in situ machinery, field system repair, turbo chargers, much of the mechanical work associated with slow speed and high speed diesel engines, electrical and mechanical work of a ship and oil rigs.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH RISK ASSESSMENT OF GAS PRODUCTION & ASSOCIATED FACILITIES - ADGAS

A detailed Occupational health Risk Assessment of the ADGAS facilities was carried out between February and November 2008. The assessment encompassed all the facilities housed on Das Island, Mina Port, and the Abu Dhabi Headquarters. Worked as team member of the assessment team. SEVERAL OHRA AS PART OF THE HSEIA STUDIES CARRIED OUT FOR OIL AND GAS PROJECTS.
