Deprivation in South Oxford
• South Oxford area are considered deprived due to: a large proportion of people, particularly:
• children, living below the poverty line• large numbers of adults with no qualifications• Poor educational attainment in schools high crime• poor health.
• Unemployment in these areas of deprivation is higher than other parts of Oxford, and these areas have been hardest hit by unemployment caused by the recession

About the Trust• New charity – setup in 2012 • The Trust members include schools based in Blackbird Leys, Greater Leys,
Littlemore and Rose Hill areas on the outskirts of Oxford to the South and East of the City Centre.
Our objectives
The Objects of the Charity are to advance the education of the pupils, their families, the staff and governors of members, in particular by enhancing and assisting in the provision of:
• improved opportunities for education and life chances for pupils and their families• professional development for staff and governors• opportunities for collaboration between schools within the group• facilities for education at the schools which are also available to the wider community

area come to school with no adequate breakfast !
