Hawkins Biggins Hawkins Biggins initially discovered a love for photography in high school. After graduating from the New England School of Photography in Boston in 2003, she worked as a photography assistant and studio manager for four years before moving back to Hawaii and starting her own photography business.

Chase NortonAfter obtaining his M.S. from the University of Hawaii, Chase Norton joined the company. He handles the technical aspects of the business from post-processing to website design. His drive for perfection and attention to detail provides the perfect balance for the business.

HOW TO LOOK YOUR BEST FOR THE CAMERA

Outfit SuggestionsWear outfits you feel beautiful wearing. Don’t be afraid of color, but remember your environment. Bring props or anything you can possibly think of that tells the story of you.

CoordinationI encourage you to choose a color palette and coordinate with your group from there. Don’t be afraid to show that you are individuals!

MakeupEyes will be the most important factor in many of your images, so spend extra time making them look beautiful! Be sure to moisturize your lips well before your photo shoot.

I recommend no more than two outfits in order to maximize our time together. Make sure your outfits are something that can be changed easily at our location.

HairBe sure to bring any items you may desire for quick fixes to your hair between shots. Outdoor locations can be windy at times, so I suggest bringing something to tie your hair back.

Day Of Your SessionBring as little as possible with you so that your hands and mind are free of clutter. I will help you look your best, so relax and get ready to have fun!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSQ. What will my portrait session be like?A. Our photo session will take place outdoors, on location. We will choose areas that have a variety of different backgrounds to provide you with as many different looks as possible from one location. Think of our session as an adventure. We will walk to different spots and together create new scenes at each location along the way.

Q. How can I get the most out of my photoshoot?A. Please let us know if there is something specific you are hoping to achieve. Share with us any plans that you have for these images. What is the occasion for your photo session? Is there a perfect empty wall in your home that needs a large print? Are you looking for gifts for grandparents? Etc…

Q. What is the most important thing I can do for a family photoshoot?A. The most important tip is to relax and have fun! Your child will pick up on your mood and follow along. If you make it all a fun game they will really have a great time and the photos will turn out great. We are very flexible and will work with you to get the best results possible.

Q. What time of day do you recommend for our portrait session?A: We schedule either early morning or late afternoon photo sessions when the natural light is the best. We don’t need to wait for that perfect sunny day, as overcast skies provide beautiful lighting as well.

Q. What if I need to reschedule?A. If you need to reschedule, please contact us at least 24-48 hours in advance. We will do our best to fit you into the next available session. We will reschedule an on location photoshoot if it is raining.

Q. Do you retouch the photos?A. Every images is lightly retouched and enhanced using the powerful software tools of Lightroom and Photoshop. If you have any particular concerns please let us know at the shoot. For extensive retouching please see our additional services pricing sheet.

Q. How long does it take before I can view the photos?A. It generally takes up to one week to post process the images. First we edit the images, selecting the best of the best. Once we finish processing the images we will send you a link to view your online photo gallery. From this gallery you select your favorite images and order prints or purchase digital downloads.

Q. Who has copyright to the images, and can I buy the photographs digitally ?A. We retain the copyright to all the images. However, you can buy individual images or the complete set of print-ready digital files. You will be granted a license to reproduce the images for your personal use, or to give to family and friends. You are not permitted to sell them to a third party or use them commercially.

PAPER SURFACES EXPLORED

Lustre offers the vibrant colors of glossy with a fingerprint-resistant and anti-glare of a matte finish. Printed on Kodak Super Endura Paper.

Metallic paper has a glossy finish and unique metallic appearance, these prints have extra visual interest and depth. They are printed on long-lasting Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper.

You’ll see extreme sharpness, brightness, and color saturation with an intense black density that increases its appeal. The proprietary laminate layers also increase the durability and tear resistance of the final print, increasing the opportunities for display applications.

Giclee Watercolor paper is heavy, 310g paper with a subtle texture. This acid-free paper is 100% cotton fiber and is finished with a water-based protective spray. Due to the stunning colors and matte finish, your printed photos will take on the look of a masterpiece painting.

The Giclée process enables us to print directly onto museum-quality canvas material, so prints will not separate over time. Protective spray coating is applied to the surface of each print to help prevent scratches and other damage.

MetalPrints come ready-to-hang with two 3/4” thick lightweight foam blocks and aluminium plate with pre-drilled holes.
