MBI YOUTH DAYS
On October 23rd and 24th twelve CJI high school students and two teachers attended theMBI Youth Days held in Great Falls The theme for Youth Days this year was Creating aSense of Belonging and Being Part of a Team Students participated in leadership sessionsand service site work In the leadership sessions they talked about exercise and fitnessacceptance versus tolerance and discussed how to deal with a variety of bullying situations There were several schools from the state involved in the youth days as well as SpecialOlympics Montana who lead the antishybullying session and a group of people from Laos(Southeast Asia) During the service site work students did clean up organizing anddecorating depending on what their service site needed The sites our students andchaperones visited were the Childrens Museum the Rescue Mission and thrift store GoldenEagle Assisted Living and St Vincent De Paul Thrift Store At the conclusion of Youth Daysstudents set a goal made plans to continue service and to promote a sense of belonging atCJI and in the community This was a wonderful leadership opportunity for these studentswho elected to be part of this group
CJI Science Fair a SuccessOn October 25th the Kindergarten through 12th grade students hosted the first annual CJI Science FairThe K through 6 students presented their projects in the morning to great success All students were ableto explain their different experiments and the conclusions they reached For their efforts all receivedparticipation ribbons and some pretty amazing bragging rights too In the afternoon the Middle School and High School presented their projects to community judgesApril Malan and Julie Meissner The entire Middle School developed projects with John Dahlin ColtErickson and Bryce Kammerzell sweeping the top honors in the Seventh Grade Abby Fraser Dylan
Good and Christopher Wade won the acclaim for the 8th Grade 9 through 12 winners were divided intospecific categories rather than grade levels The winners were

Overall the Science Fair was an amazing opportunity for the CJI students to showcase their academicinsights and achievements Please join them in December for their English Language Arts Fair followedby the Mathematics Fair in the new year and the Social Studies Fair in the spring
Indian Cooking Success
Deep and Ricky made an amazing Chicken Curry and rice dish for the
Indian Cooking class held on Saturday October 29th Hopefully their
schedules will allow them to teach another Adult Ed class in the

interesting Adult Education opportunities
And the winner of the Manska Baby Lottery is Miss Petersen who successfully chose JaydenCharles Manskarsquos debut date of October 27 2016
