Alec Presents is a new digital show, hosted by Alec, national Shriners Hospitals for Childrenspokes-patient. Alec loves getting to know others, so to help raise awareness about our healthcare system, he has been video chatting with some famous friends and playing a few virtualgames to learn more about them. The guest list so far has included actors Scott Eastwood andTerry Crews, actress Cobie Smulders and rapper/actor Ludacris.

For Shriners by Shriners
Jamestown Shrine Club and El Zagal Shrinersare raising awareness for the fraternity in aunique way. They have installed a giant metalfez in their community of Jamestown, NorthDakota. The fez is 7 feet, 6 inches tall by 8feet, 6 inches wide, weighs 1,050 pounds, andalso has a “tassel” made of 1-inch nylon rope.The fez was made by Wrigley Mechanical, acompany owned by Blake Wrigley, PastPotentate of El Zagal. The group has appliedto the Guinness World Records for the world’slargest fez designation.

Havin' Fun in '21 atImperial Session inHouston
The 147th Imperial Session of ShrinersInternational is planned for July 4 – 8, 2021 in“Space City” – Houston, Texas. The sessioncommittee is looking forward to presenting asafe and exciting time of fun and fellowship fornobles and their families, particularly since wemissed out on last year’s traditional gathering.
In collaboration with the City of Houston, weare putting together a thorough safety plan. Inaddition, the George R. Brown ConventionCenter has made significant enhancements toits facility including installing a biodefensefiltration technology proven to eliminate SARS-CoV-2 and other airborne contaminants.
With more than 10,000 restaurants, parks andgreen spaces for outdoor activities, museumsand attractions, and tours for all interests,there is something for each of you toexperience in Houston.
Imperial Session is all about Nobles gatheringtogether for fun and fellowship, and we have avariety of social activities planned for all toenjoy. Imperial Sir Jim Smith is excited to behosting a special cornhole tournament atSession and has challenged every temple tofield a team to compete. Organizers are alsoplanning a bus trip to Galveston to tour ourfacility that recently merged with the Houstonlocation to create Shriners Children’s Texas.
We look forward to “Havin’ Fun in ’21” with youin Houston this summer.

The SIEF Noble Academy Membership andMarketing Virtual Event #2 was a hugesuccess with hundreds of nobles andmembers of Masonic and ladies’ organizationsfrom around the world viewing the live event.
The first presenter, Christian D. Moore,Executive Director of DeMolay International,spoke about the processes and tools forplanning a memorable event. The secondseminar featured Illustrious Sir David Krogh ofAbu Bekr Shriners and Tammy Robbins,Regional Marketing Director at ShrinersHospitals. Shriners Village is your resource for a digitallibrary of downloadable fraternal and hospitalone-sheets. One-sheets are single-pagedocuments designed for use by members andgroups of Shriners International and affiliatedMasonic organizations to communicateimportant information about the fraternity andhealth care system.
The site has nearly 40 one-sheets available fordownload on various topics including PatientAmbassadors, hospital service lines, disabilityawareness, membership initiatives, donorinformation, events and leadership bios.
Some suggested uses for one-sheets are:

East-West Shrine Bowl Player Journey Panels
In conjunction with the NFL, the East-West Shrine Bowl hosted two virtual Player JourneyPanels that were attended by 2021 Shrine Bowl players. Despite the game being cancelled dueto the pandemic, game organizers still made player selections in order to honor outstandingsenior seasons.
The panelists included East-West Shrine Bowl alumni and NFL greats Shaq Barrett, NickMullens, Nate Burleson, Cris Carter, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Justin Simmons. Thepanelists discussed important topics including career and journey expectations, and currentplayer experience. They also conducted a question and answer session with playersparticipating in the virtual event.
Nate Burleson, football commentator and former NFL wide receiver, served as the moderatorfor the first event. Burleson said of the East-West Shrine Bowl, “This game helped set the tonefor what was an 11 year career for me.”
