Social Runs
“Green group runs are better on Thursdays now as they split into different abilities” “The changes to the Thursday runs have been good but for green group it needs to be set/organised paces. Often the run leaders all day they will run at the same paces or see how we get on. I think it's really important to have it more fixed ie someone is leading at 10min mile, someone at 9 and someone at 8 or something similar” “I felt very intimidated by going from the beginner's course to the yellow group. Everyone said it was fine that I went slowly (13min mile) but I still felt like I was holding everyone back. I think there needs to be a group for those who were true beginners in the beginners course”

Junior Section
So where are we? • No specific training sessions for juniors • Those of a suitable developmental age can join as Junior Members and
participate in normal club training sessions. • Junior Members are affiliated to England Athletics and can compete for the club.
• There is no minimum age for becoming a club member. • Those who are too young to train with us can still join (for free) as Associate
Members. • Associate members are not affiliated to England Athletics , but can wear a club
vest for Parkrun and Fun Run events.
Junior Section
What next? • In future any training sessions provided specifically for juniors will be led by club
coaches. • At the present time we don’t have enough coaches to provide that on a regular
basis. So the current plan is: • Continue to build the coaching capacity in the club, and try again to start a
satellite junior section when the coaching capacity is in place.

350 members in the group, but only 215 members in the club. Who do we want looking at our group page? Should we get rid of some of these people, and if so, who?
“How can those folks not on Facebook suggest runs or races be made aware”
Over the past year we’ve achieved a lot to be very proud of. But my highlight of the year has to be the brilliant summer we had
participating in the Kevin Henry 5K series. Not only did we finish higher than ever before, but even more important than that
more of our members turned up to represent their club than any of the other clubs.
Kevin Henry 5K series – What a year we had!
