STEP1–PREPTHEBOARDSANDBUILDTHESIDESUsingthecutlist,cutthelegsandshortrailstolength.AttachtheA21Zanglestotheshortrailswith1¼inchwaferheadscrews.Pre-drillingisnotnecessarywhenusingthewafer-headscrews.Positiontheshortrailsonthelegsasshown,spacingthem1¾inchesapart.Pre-drillpilotholesintothelegsandattachtheshortrailstothelegswithA21Zanglesand2½inchSDconnectorscrews.
STEP2–ATTACHTHELONGRAILSTOBUILDTHECARCASSCutthelongrailstolength.AttachtheA21Zanglestothelongrailswith1¼inchwaferheadscrews.Positionthelongrailsasshown,spacingthem1¾inchesapart.Pre-drillpilotholesintothelegsandattachthelongrailstothelegswithA21Zanglesand2½inchSDconnectorscrews.
STEP3–ATTACHTHEBOTTOMSLATSCutthebottomslatstolength.Fliptheottomanoverandpositionthebottomslatsasshown.Pre-drillpilotholesandattachbottomslatstothelongrailswith2½inchSDconnectorscrews.
STEP4–BUILDTHELIDCutthetopslatstolengthandplacethemontopoftheottoman.Positiontheouterboardssothattheyareflushtotheedgeofthelegsandlongrails.Findthemidpointandlaythemiddletopslatintoplace.Thenpositiontheremainingtopslatsintoplace,spacingtheslatsapproximately17/16inchesapart(youcaneyeballit).
STEP5–ATTACHTHETRIMCutthetrimtolengthandattachtothetopslatswith1¼inchbradnailsandwoodglue.
STEP6–ATTACHTHETOPSLATSSUPPORTSCutthetopslatssupportstolengthandattachthemtotheundersideofthelidasshown.Pre-drillpilotholesandattachwith2inchDeckDrive™DSVwoodscrews.Thelidshouldfitsnuglyontopoftheottoman(seeFig.7).
