Christmas Dinner Prayer
Dear God, your love brought Jesus to the
earth, and love brings us to this Christmas
table. Today as we celebrate this special
day, may we also share with one another a
joyful heart and a warm smile.
May our Christmas dinner be filled
with your gifts of hope, faith, joy, peace,
and love represented by your birth; filling
our lives and become part of all that we say
and do.
In our gratitude and love, we remember your
humble birth and pray for those who are
without enough to eat. We remember the
stable in which you were born and pray for
those who have no place to live. We
remember your challenging message of caring
and giving, help us to honor your birth by
working for one another making a piece of
heaven on earth.
We ask you to bless our food and us and to
bless those we love who are not with us
today. In the peace of this season, our
spirits are joyful. With all creatures, the
angels, the shepherds, the stars, with Mary
and Joseph we praise you. And may the
memories of today warm our hearts for years
to come.
Bless us O Lord, and these Thy gifts,
which we are about to receive from Thy
bounty through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Good News Bad News
We’re going to tell you the bad news first, then may good news leave
us with a happy ending.
After submitting a grant application, the Raskob Foundation for
Catholic Activities, Inc. received numerous requests. St Denis parish
application was not among those funded. Due to limited resources, they
are not in the position to support so many high numbers of worthy
causes.
The good news, the Capital Campaign is doing well; therefore, we
are going to be able to fix the Church roof as well as other parish
building structural/basic needs thanks to your participation in the
Legacy of Hope campaign.
A special thanks to St Denis Building Committee that put their soul
and heart on the grant application as well as continue looking after the
cemetery and church buildings in general.
