Report on VALMIKI FOUNDATION (ORPHANAGE)on28th June 2014

1. NSS Volunteers (12 members) Participated in 7th Annual anniversary of VALMIKI

FOUNDATION (ORPHANAGE)on28th June 2014 at Rail kalarangboiguda

7th Annual anniversary of valmiki foundation (orphanage home) was celebrated at Rail kalarangboiguda were 12 volunteers of N.S.S from Bhavans Vivekananda participated and volunteered themselves. there were more than 950 students from different schools and orphanage homes there .Volunteers helped the foundation first by distributing snacks to the students and helped in monitoring them .program further moved on with some cultural activities and speeches of dignitaries After the cultural program,lunch was provided to all the students volunteers helped in the serving and maintaining the queue soon after the lunch there was distribution of bags books and toys to all the children.Overall program was a huge success which started at 10:30 am in the morning and ended up at 4:00 pm in evening and the program ended with the distribution of the certificate to the volunteers .It was indeed a great experience to serve the children and each and every member did there best and with the contribution of both volunteers and event incharges the day was worthful and blessed with smiles around on the children.

Report on CAMPUS CLEANING PROGRAMME

2. NSS Unit of the college conducted CAMPUS CLEANING PROGRAMME on 27th and

28th June 2014 for the Orientation Program for the fresher’s. It is called as Campus to

community day.Campus to Community Days are perfect for students who want to get

involved in the community, try new options and meet like-minded peers. They focus

on many different social themes, including sustainability, poverty, homelessness,

education, women’s issues, and health and wellness.

Report on - medical camp on 1st July 2014

3. NSS unit of Bhavan’s Vivekananda College organized a medical camp on1st July 2014

on the event of Doctor’s Day in Vivekanandapuram in association with Lion’s Club of

Vivekanandapuram, Secunderabad More than 150 People were benefitted with the camp

A medical camp was organized on the event of Doctor’s Day in Vivekanandapuram

area in association with Lion’s Club of Vivekanandapuram, Secunderabad and NSS unit of

Bhavan’s Vivekananda College . About 150 residents from the nearby slum area visited the

camp which included about 110 school children from adjacent Government Primary School.

Four doctors took part in the camp and diagnosed the patients. Col Sen and Col

Biswas ,retired army officers from Army Medical officers and two doctors – DrAmbika

Samuel and Dr A Venkatesh (Medical Officers) from Nagarjuna Nursing Home and 16

volunteers took part in the camp

Generic medicines were distributed to the patients. Most of the children were

diagnosed with cold, fever and cough. Middle aged persons were diagnosed with symptoms

like body pains and joint problems.

4. NSS Volunteers helped Hospitality committee (Dept. Of Mathematics) for

FRESHER’S PARTY in the college held on 28th July 2014.15 volunteers took part in the

event

5. NSS P.O attended District level meeting held at Osmania University on 6thaugust

2014.This meeting helped all the PO’S to know the process of conducting various

activities. State Liaison Officer, Regional Coordinator and NSS coordinator addressed

all the POS. This meeting started at 11am and continues till 3pm.

6. NSS volunteers helped in planting trees near IT Block conducted in collaboration

with Dept. Of Microbiology on 22nd august 2014.32 volunteers took part in the

program

7. NSS volunteers along with the DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE of the college helped in

Smooth conduct of BHAVANOTSOV 2014 held on 27th and 28th August. 22 volunteers

took part in the event.

Report on BLOOD DONATION CAMP - 6th September, 2014

8. NSS unit of Bhavan’s Vivekananda College in collaboration with “Lions Club

International” organized a BLOOD DONATION CAMP on 6th September, 2014 in

college premises. This camp is a part of Mega Blood Donation Drive organized by

“AkhilBharatiyaTerapanthYuvakParishad”. 253 units of Blood collected from the

college.(253+100) NSS volunteers helped to conduct the program smoothly

11. NSS SPECIAL CAMP-2104-15 conducted From 13TH October TO 19th October in

Narsapur village of Medak district. As it was a one week program, volunteers were

instructed to prepare activity chart for the given schedule.44 volunteers took

12. NSS Unit of the college conducted SWACHH VIVEKANANDA PURAM AND

SWACHH BHAVANSprograme on 15th and 22nd of November. This program was

conducted as part of SWACHH BHARATH. It was conducted to make the volunteers to

know the importance of swachhatha around the community.112 volunteers took

part in the program.

13. NSS unit of the college conducted SWACHH BHARATHprograme on 16th of

November 2014 at Vivekanandapuram. The Strong contingent of the NSS choosed

this particular place to conduct swachhbharath. It includes cleaning up streets ,roads,

school premises, public park and nearby places .The program started at 8am and

continued till 1pm

Report on Hospitality of Andhayug

15. NSS volunteers helped Hospilatilty team forThe art show ANDHA YUG on

10thDecember 2014.Andha Yug The Age of Blindness or The Blind Age is a 1954 verse play written

in Hindi, by renowned novelist, poet, and playwright DharamvirBharati (1926-1997). It was the first

important play of 20th century India. Set in the last day of the Great Mahabharata war, the five-

act tragedy was written in the years following the 1947 partition of India atrocities, as allegory to its

destruction of human lives and ethical values. It is a metaphoric meditation on the politics of

violence and aggressive selfhood and that war dehumanized individuals and society. Thus both the

victor and the vanquished lose eventually.This art show was played by Students of BVC .10

Report on National Integration Camp 18th Dec to 24th Dec 2014

16 Ms A himabindu participated in NIC camp held at Gangadhara from 18th Dec to

24th Dec 2014 .National Integration Camp aims at integrating the volunteers from

different states for a given duration so that they can know each other’s culture,

lifestyle, work habits, food, et cetera. It also establishes a channel for effective

mingling of different NSS units so that they can collaborate and function as a single

unit at the National level.

17. NSS unitconducted campus cleaning program on 19th and 20thDecember 2014. It

also includes white washing and beatifying the campus premises. Two and Four

wheeler parking places were painted properly for parking of vehicles.50 volunteers

took part in the program.

18.MsKritika pant won first prize in elocution competition conducted by Osmania

university on national youth day celebrations on 12th January 2015.
