Pioneer in connecting competences of local Nestle Scientists and Engineers, he has initiated and led a number of innovative projects for new packaging designs in soluble coffee, new functional materials in R&G coffee, improved packaging safety in Infant Nutrition, innovative approaches in Packaging Environmental Sustain-ability and coach of Circular Economy for Waste Framework EU Directive in the region. He is Lecturer in Operations & Process Management, for the International Faculty of University of Sheffield. Mentor & Executive Coach to experienced and High Potential technical managers.Mentor of LEAN Early Management philosophy for new packaging and investment projects.

Gerald LefebvrePackaging Consultant, CEOECO6S: Statistical, Environmental & Technical Analysis

With more than 20 years’ experience in the Packaging Industry and 11 years with ECO6S Gerald has been consulting, training and coaching packaging professionals for their Sustainability Projects worldwide. Focusing on Life Cycle Analysis of Packaging Systems and Lean Projects to optimize costs and ecological, economical & sociological quality, Gerald has monitored over 50 Eco Design projects using scientific metrics and methods to assess Sustainability of Packaging Processes & Products.

He is an economist by education and has been working in German and European associations for flexible packaging and aluminium foil since 2003. With about 80 companies FPE represents more than 80 percent of the European turnover of flexible packaging. Its members manufac-ture all types of flexible packaging including pouches, sachets, liquid packaging, confectionery and pharmaceutical packaging applications, and much more. A chemist with over 15 years of experience in flexible packaging as the R&D manager at Hatzopoulos company. Designing structures, materials properties and multi-functional packaging solutions with focus on packaging optimization, consumer safety and sustainability. He is a member of the Technical Committee of FPE (Flexible Packaging Europe) and the Sustainability Committee of EAFA/FPE. Vice President of the Greek Packaging Association and Secretary General of the Hellenic Organic and Printed Electronic Association.

Theodoros ParaskevopoulosPackaging Specialist A.Hatzopoulos S.A.

With a chemical engineering studies background in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Universidade de Aveiro in Portugal, Theodoros is member of the Hatzopoulos company R&D department for the last 5 years, being actively involved in the development of high-demanding new packaging solutions, performing extensive research on materials structures and processes and specializing in supporting customers in technical issues.

Christodoulos Naziris Quality Assurance Manager | A.Hatzopoulos S.A.Industry Technologist, McS Food Production Management, Nottingham University

Christodoulos brings more than 10 years of experience in flexible packaging within the Hatzopoulos company, focusing of regulatory affairs, maintenance and development of the company’s quality system and relevant certifications, and service of quality issues. He is a member of the Technical Committee of FPA and the Greek Packaging Association.

Dr. Carolin Hauser PhD in flexible active packaging

Dr. Carolin Hauser teaches Food Safety and Shelf-Life at the Interna-tional Packaging Institute and works as Food Expert at SIG Combibloc. SIG is one of the leading system suppliers of carton packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry. Knowing the food and packaging business for over ten years, Carolin helps customers in all questions concerning packaged food and recipe development.

Dave Daniels Technical Director National Flexible

Dave has worked for National Flexible, UK’s largest distributor of polypropylene and special films, for 20 years. His experience and passion for developing and pushing the technologies of materials, print and lamination within the company has resulted in now managing a highly-skilled technical team responsible for purchasing and trialing materials for National Flexible’s customers, providing technical support and new projects and ideas development.

Ovidiu SerbTechnical Director | A. Hatzopoulos S.A.Electrical Engineer, MEng University of Transilvania / Brasov Romania

Working for Hatzopoulos company for more than 25 years, he has gathered experience and knowledge on all aspects of the printing and converting technologies of flexible packaging materials, as well as the whole range of relevant machinery and equipment installation and operation. He is an active member of FPE / EAFA organizations.
