ACQUISITIONS

(ii) Rajesh Multichannel Pvt Ltd.

CHALLENGES

* The cable industry is governed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and other government bodies. Any adverse changes in pricing regulation would impact the industry.

* The issue of branding where MSOs lose out to DTH players, the cable industry is expected to face strong competition from DTH players like Reliance, Airtel, Videocon, Sun, Tata Sky.
