________________________________ LEARNING - GROWING - CARING

My week was topped off with a spectacular evening at the Dance Eisteddfod being entertained by

our fabulous dance groups.

Congratulations to all of our

competitors; the performances

were thoroughly enjoyable.

Thankyou to all of the families who

supported the dancers and of

course to our wonderful and very

dedicated dance teachers, you are

all amazing!

Have a very safe, happy and

relaxing holiday and we will see

everyone back in Term 4.

A reminder to Stage 2 & Stage 3 families (Years 3 to 6). The Term 4 sports choice payments must in

received at the office by 10am on Monday, 9th October. Students whose payments have not been

received by the closing time will stay at school for sport and their place will be forfeited.

Over the holidays, sports payments can be made online at

https://quickweb.westpac.com.au/OnlinePaymentServlet When completing the details the student

registration number is not required and the Ref/Invoice Number is the sport you are paying for ie.

Multi Sports, Learn to Surf, Gym Fitness etc.

EARN & LEARN POINTS

Thank you to everyone who supported our school during the Woolworths Earn & Learn promotion!

9000 stickers were handed in at school and another 8460 stickers dropped in the box at

Woolworths Settlement City. Our 17,460 point will purchase art & craft supplies.

BOYS CRICKET ROUND 4 VICTORY

The boys cricket team competed in the fourth round of the PSSA knockout on Thursday against

Wauchope Public School. Hastings won the toss and elected to bowl.

The Hastings bowlers have been on absolute fire in the competition thus far and this game was no

exception. Their accurate bowling was complemented by unforgiving fielding and exemplary catching.

The whole team contributed to the rapid demise of the Wauchope batsmen which had them all out

for 32 in the 15th over of their innings.

With a small target to chase, our batsmen knew that sensible batting was the order of the day. The

total was reached quickly thanks to excellent stroke play as Hastings passed the total in the 8th over

with only one wicket lost. The team is now looking forward to their round 5 match early next term.

Fantastic effort boys!

COLLECT, SORT, MAKE & SELL … Items for Hastings Hullabaloo!

We would like to cover the basic costs of Hastings Hullabaloo

with donations from the school community to maximise our

fundraising efforts and ensure we give the students of Hastings

Public School their best fete yet! Over the school holidays, do

some collecting, making, sorting & selling.

We need the following to be donated in the 2 weeks leading up to our

Hullabaloo. THANK YOU to the families who have already contributed!

Bottle Lotto - All students are asked to bring in at least ONE filled jar for bottle lotto. Which class

will be bottle champions? Mrs Fieldsend & Mrs Martin will be keeping a tally to see which class

brings in the most! We require at least 705 bottles!

Handmade Crafts - Projects could include: sewing, knitting, crochet, paper crafts, soap, candles,

jewellery, woodcraft, metal craft etc. Your imagination is the limit and we can’t wait to see your

handmade creations.

Toys, Books and Clothes - Donations for our pre-loved stalls are still being sought. If you are

cleaning out the cupboards these school holidays, we would love your toys, clothes and books. All

items need to be of resale quality. Please ensure that they are complete, clean (no rips & stains)

and of good repair.

Grass Heads - 6HP have volunteered to make our Grass Heads in Term 4 but we still need

donations of grass seeds, googly eyes, rubber bands and stockings.

Temporary Tattoos - We want to tattoo your children with fun, kid friendly TEMPORARY tattoos

but need supplies. Please donate so we can increase our tattoo supplies.

Consolation Prizes - We hope to turn frowns to smiles with a simple sweet treat! Don’t avoid the

confectionery aisle during your next grocery shop and add a bag of lollipops to your trolley.

Biscuit Decorating - While grocery shopping also add icing sugar, food colouring, confectionery &

arrowroot biscuits to your trolley for our Biscuit Decorating stall - YUM!

Plants - It’s now time to start your plant propagating and potting. We require plants, plants and

more plants for our plant stall. Donations for our plant stall can be delivered to the School the day

before Hullabaloo.

Lego - Sick of stepping on Lego left lying on the floor or just have unwanted pieces at your house?

We are seeking donations for our Guessing Competition and Speed Lego Building Competition.

Just Baked! Homemade Treats - Test run your recipes for cakes, biscuits, treats & preserves for

our Just Baked! Homemade Treats stall. All donations must be packaged in air-tight plastic wrap

or containers (preferably single use), have all ingredients listed and be delivered either the day

before or morning of Hastings Hullabaloo.

Raffle - A BIG thank you to the families who have returned raffle tickets and collected additional

books. If you would like additional booklets to sell, please see the office or contact the fete

coordinators. Don’t miss out on your chance of winning fantastic prizes!

Happy Holidays, everyone!
