EverSafe™ III Controller
EverSafe™ III TOUCH Control Advanced Microprocessor Safety ControllerThe EverSafe III TOUCH Control advanced microprocessor safety controller is designed to enable simple and precise user control of all hood or workstation functions. EverSafe III has 18 primary control icons that allow the end user to view and/or modify the hood or workstation settings. The primary home screen features display of face velocity to show users they are working within OSHA requirements. Face velocity is vividly displayed in either linear feet per minute or meters per second. The lower portion of the EverSafe III TOUCH controller screen is designed to give the following information to the end user; current date, time and blower setting.
EverSafe III TOUCH control maintains fume hood or workstation face velocity by taking constant measurements at the opening and automatically adjusting airflow to ensure compliance to user preset values. The end user is allowed to determine desired face velocity through the “Blower Settings” icon. Mystaire® calibrates and ships each ductless hood and filtered workstation with a preset face velocity of 80 linear feet per minute or .4 meters per second.
Sophisticated electronic controls determine chemical breakthrough based on the type of solvents used within the hood or workstation. Visible and audible alarms alert the operator if airflow is at an unsafe level or if the installed filters are approaching saturation, allowing sufficient time to replace filters.
The EverSafe III TOUCH control microprocessor safety controller allows the end user to select the built-in solid state gas detection package sensitivity. The solid state gas sensor can be set at three distinct levels that correspond to established occupation levels. A sensitivity level set point should be selected by the end user that is appropriate with the TLV for the current chemical being manipulated. This provides the end user with an audible and visual alarm that indicates the primary installed filtration has reached saturation and allows the installed safety filtration to protect the end user during experimentation shutdown.
EverSafe III TOUCH control displays current installed filtration within the hood or workstation and provides a bar graph consumption monitor to show filter life. The “FILTERS” icon, when pressed, displays the following filtration type; main, safety and pre-filter. Additionally, the end user can select and change the three types of filters independently of the others.
Energy monitoring is standard with EverSafe III TOUCH control and continues to become a focal point of every laboratory. Cost of operation is a focal point in every business’s operational budget. EverSafe III TOUCH control allows end user display of hood or workstation energy consumption through the “ENERGY USE” icon. Displayed to the end user is a log of energy consumption, by the ductless hood or workstation, of the life time kilowatt hours and real time power/current/voltage.

BLOWER - Manually start and stop blower.
LIGHT - Turns LED lightning on or off.
TIMER - Provides the end user with the ability to set the lab timer in either stopwatch or countdown mode. Also allows the user to set length of time for the countdown mode.
ENERGY USE -This icon accesses the log of energy consumption. Displaying life time kilowatt hours and real time power/current/voltage.
SYSTEM DATA - Access to serial number, software version and hour meters for system run time, blower run time, light burn time. Provides an overview of all historical data (excluding energy use).
FILTERS - Allows easy access to installed filtration package identification numbers.
HELP - Provides contact details for Mystaire® customer service.
SETTINGS - Allows the end user to access the workstation administration functions, enabling them to modify or change current settings.
CHANGE FILTERS - Allows the user to select and change specific expired installed filters.
DATE/TIME - Allows the end user the ability to change or modify current time and date.
TEMPERATURE/HUMIDITY - Displays current temperature inside the chamber and filtration housing as well as current humidity.
ALARMS - Allows end user to set alarm points for airflow, temperature, humidity and filter saturation.
UNITS/LANGUAGE - Allows the end user to switch between supported languages and units of measure; imperial or metric.
CALIBRATE AIRFLOW SENSOR - Provides step-by-step instruction for automatic calibration of airflow sensor.
BACKUP/RESTORE - Allows the end user to save system settings and restore saved settings.
CALIBRATE SCREEN - Allows the user to calibrate the color LCD touch screen.
FILTER APPLICATION - Allows user or administrator to validate current class of chemicals used with the installed filters. If the chemical class and installed filter(s) are not correct an alert is provided.
BLOWER SETTINGS - Set blower to either manual or automatic mode. Manual mode is a percent of blower capacity. Automatic mode maintains a desired face velocity that can be entered using the touch screen.
EverSafe III TOUCH Control Advanced Microprocessor Controller gives the end user complete control of all hood or workstation functions and features with one touch of an Icon. Absolute power at your fingertip!

About Mystaire® FiltrationProper filtration selection is critical to ensure operator safety from potentially harmful odors, vapors and airborne particulate. When selecting a filter for your application, Mystaire reviews the complete application to make certain the proper filtration package is selected. At our state-of-the-art facility in Creedmoor, North Carolina, Mystaire filters are manufactured to the strictest quality standards in the industry. Our filters have undergone thorough laboratory testing to ensure their capability to meet your application challenges. Depending on your application, Mystaire filtration solutions may be a single adsorption technology or the combination of a variety of filtration media to meet your containment requirements.
Particulate Pre-filtersThe particulate pre-filter is an electrostatically charged fiber filter which effectively removes submicron particulates. When used in Mystaire fume hoods and workstations, the pre-filter protects the adsorption filter from smoke, acid mists, and other submicron particulates. In the forensic evidence drying cabinets, the pre-filter prevents airborne contaminants from entering into the drying chamber, minimizing the potential for cross contamination from the environment. All units are typically shipped with pre-filtration installed.
Trace Evidence FilterThe trace evidence filter is an electrostatically charged fiber filter that is designed to remove submicron particulate, i.e. hairs, fibers and dirt particles that might be freed during the drying process. The trace filter should be removed between cases for laboratory analysis and to reduce the potential for cross contamination between cases. The trace filter is positioned in the exhaust stream and will capture potential airborne trace evidence before entering the main filtration zone.
Activated Carbon FiltersMystaire activated carbon filters consist of high-grade coconut shell carbon. The steam-activated nutshell provides a large surface area with an extensive internal pore structure for a high degree of absorbency. Mystaire activated carbon filters are effective in adsorbing typical chemicals used in routine forensic analysis such as acetone, methanol, ethanol, chloroform, xylene and ninhydrin.
Chemisorptive Carbon FiltersMystaire chemisorptive carbon filters are used to remove lighter weight gases that are not physically adsorbed by activated carbon alone. Added to these filters is an impregnate, which utilizes a chemical and physical attraction to enhance adsorption. A typical application for chemisorptive filtration is in an evidence drying cabinet, for the containment of fumes and gases generated and released during the process of decomposition (i.e. putrid odors).
HEPA FiltersHigh Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters are available in various efficiencies to contain a variety of airborne contaminants present when examining or drying evidence. Our standard HEPA filter has a 99.997% efficiency rating for collecting 0.3 micron particles. HEPA filters capture potentially harmful particulate (e.g. powders present during fingerprint analysis) and blood borne pathogens (that may be released during evidence drying).

Chemical-resistant construction with superior filtrationIsola PRO polypropylene filtered chemical workstation removes toxic particulate, chemical fumes and vapors protecting both the operator and the environment. Isola PRO polypropylene filtered workstations, standard with a thermally-fused integral spill tray, offer excellent chemical resistance for corrosive applications. Isola PRO polypropylene filtered chemical workstations allow for a wide range of applications. The Isola Series of filtered chemical workstations have been designed to accommodate up to six-inches of filtration. The design of Isola’s filtration matrix allows for stacking of a HEPA filter, followed by a gas-phased carbon filter, thus allowing the workstation to effectively remove both toxic particulate and chemical fumes and vapors. Versatile and Portable ContainmentThe MY-2400 is a compact, economical solution for capturing fumes and particulate during routine investigative analysis. This lightweight model is constructed from durable materials that provide excellent durability in typical laboratory environments. The clear base section is constructed from ¼” polycarbonate with a hinged front sash. This workstation is ideal for low volume applications found in laboratories.
The MY-2400 Basic Ductless Workstation is equipped with an adjustable air speed controller. Face velocity can be adjusted from 30-120 fpm. This feature allows the operator to control face velocity depending on the type of sample being manipulated within the workstation.

Downflow Workstation
Compact and Open DesignMystaire® Downflow Workstations are designed as stand alone, ductless units that protect workers from powders or fumes. The workstation’s open design allows for close inspection of samples while maintaining a high level of operator protection. Particles or fumes are drawn downward through the stainless steel work surface and contaminants are removed by a series of filters. After the fumes or particulates are filtered, clean air is returned to the room.

The construction of Latitude 36° allows for exceptional operator viewing. The sides, front and top panels are constructed from polycarbonate. The HEPA filter and pre-filter are positioned directly against a solid epoxy-coated steel housing. Access into the CleanPrep Dead Air Box is gained through a folding vertical polycarbonate sash. The sash is designed with an overlap to eliminate potentially harmful UV rays from escaping the enclosure.
As an added safety feature, the lower portion of the sash is fitted with a position switch that controls the UV light and its ability to be turned on and off.
When the polycarbonate sash is in the vertical position the UV light is disabled allowing the fluorescent light to be illuminated. Workspace illumination is important during amplifications and each CleanPrep enclosure is fitted with a high-intensity fluorescent lamp to effectively illuminate the work area.

The CleanPrep PCR Workstation is designed to control three major contamination issues:1) Reaction preparation is performed in the “clean”
still-air chamber, thus minimizing airborne and supply- borne contamination.
2) During reaction preparation, a portion of the reaction mix is exposed to the UV light, thus decontaminating any irregular reaction components. Since this exposure bathes the chamber and its contents, they are “cleaned” at the same time.
3) Keeping the sash closed, the CleanPrep chamber and supplies remain ready for use.

Maintain the Chain of Custody and Protect Your Evidence SecureDry evidence drying cabinets are designed to provide a secure and dedicated area for drying wet evidentiary items while creating a barrier to keep out the potential threat of cross contamination. The cabinet utilizes pre-filtration, HEPA and carbon filtration to minimize the potential for environmental cross contamination and employee exposure to putrid odors or biological material.
SecureDry is constructed from rigid white polypropylene that is thermally fused in order to create a continuous chamber, eliminating structural cracks and crevices. Added security comes from the powder coated steel doors with keyed entry, not found on other drying cabinets. This reinforced steel door is designed to provide a tamper resistant barrier while creating a positive seal between the chamber and the environment, minimizing the potential for cross contamination.
In addition to the door pre-filter, within the drying chamber is a second pre-filter. This pre-filter is referred to as a trace evidence filter and is designed to trap any potential evidence that may become airborne during the drying process. All drying air must pass through the trace evidence pre-filter before leaving the drying chamber. This filter should be changed between each case and retained for further analysis by laboratory professionals.

Safely Fume Evidence with Consistent Results
The CA Series is constructed from powder coated aluminum with an automatically locking safety glass viewing door. Microprocessor control allows the operator to set fuming cycle time and relative humidity levels between 50-80%. Using the CA Series is simple; position the non-porous evidence inside the chamber, add cyanoacrylate to the heating element and push the start button to begin fuming.
The evidence technician can set fume cycle time and relative humidity via the simple-to-use microprocessor controller. During the fume and purge process the aluminum door automatically locks to prevent exposure to potentially harmful cyanoacrylate. Our exclusive, patented* filtration process ensures potentially hazardous cyanoacrylate fumes, that are generated during the fuming process, are effectively removed during the purge cycle.
The cyanoacrylate-laden chamber air is not exhausted into the room like other brands of cyanoacrylate fuming chambers. The air is recirculated through a specially blended activated gas phase filtration bed until the cyanoacrylate fumes are removed. Our patented method for capturing potentially harmful cyanoacrylate fumes is more effective than the single-pass filtration method incorporated by other chamber designs.

Polypropylene Base CabinetBase cabinets, with a variety of shelving options, are available for Mystaire® polypropylene fume hoods. Constructed completely of polypropylene, these cabinets are ideal for storage of corrosive chemicals.
