Harmony Day 2013 was a great success with many diverse cultures sharing their food, backgrounds and tradions with other families in Norfolk Island. Pastor Mike Browning opened the inaugural gathering with a prayer for Unity. During the evening The Acng Secretariat of NWF, Ms Liat Baddock JP menoned the formaon of a Community Harmony Working Group which will focus on the “Racism it Stops with Me” campaign. This iniave is part of the agreement between the Australian Human Rights Commission and EcoNorfolk Foundaon Inc. Without the voluntary assistance of Community Members of Norfolk Island who come from diverse backgrounds this gathering could not have occurred. Special thanks and Appreciaon Cerficates have been provided by the Australian Government, Department of Immigraon and Cizenship to: Seventh Day Advenst Church, Sheila Grimshaw, Cynthia Quintal, Liat Baddock, Denise Quintal and Naaz Ali. The gathering was proudly supported by Norfolk Quota Club and was aended by The President, Ms. Ann Wright and Ms. Pat Anderson. Above: Ms Denise Quintal shared her tradional cultural dish with Mrs. Rhonda Griffiths. Mrs. Anjuna Devi and Mrs. Naaz Ali from Navua, Fiji Islands with Mrs Mitra Salaki Kemp, Mrs Rhonda Griffiths and Ms Mahsa Alikhan. Mahsa and Mitra shared their Persian foods with Anjuna and Naaz selecting flavours of a Indian influence, with Rhonda sharing Norfolk Tahitian delights. Norfolk Island. Pastor Mike Browning opened the

inaugural gathering with a prayer for Unity.

During the evening The Acting Secretariat of NWF, Ms Liat Baddock JP mentioned the

formation of a Community Harmony Working Group which will focus on the “Racism it
