Update on Enduring Solution

Reasonably comfortable at Go Live as a result of the testing and

preparation done. All Suppliers had completed testing and certification.

260 NIE staff were trained and brought up to speed not just on SAP but

also on upgraded Satellite Systems. It has been a positive outcome

however there is close monitoring for NIE stability and also on the Power

NI side. There have been no major show-stoppers. Stability is good.

They have made some tweaks to Tibco and more to do. In process of

completing lst billing cycle end of this week and aggregation and

indications are pretty good.

Feedback from HSG HWG relevant topics covered by the Harmonisation Steering Group 6th June 2012

Detail RoI Harmonisation Project

The stability of ES is welcomed. The project has now exited the Build

phase as all design changes to the technical infrastructure have been

completed. The current Test Phase is internally focussed with system and

Integration testing 95% complete. The defect volume and their impacts

have been low to date and are fixed as they are identified. The Networks

business is entering the User Acceptance Test phase which will be

followed by market participant IPT. The EMMA roll-outs to the ROI

participants will be commencing this month and will take approx 4 – 6

weeks. The combined RoI/NI solution for those already operational in NI

will also need to be deployed. The Project will link in with NIE/Northgate

to co-ordinate this along with the ROI installations.

Harmonised Retail Development Plan

This has been approved and final version will be published shortly.

DR 1122 V1 – Introduction of Essential Plant into the Market Design

Background

The traditional practice of ESBN has been not to de-energise essential plant for Non-Payment where Health & Safety issues may arise.

This DR seeks to introduce a new flag to allow for an MPRN to be identified in the Central Market System as Essential Plant.

This flag will be a new Boolean Flag. value of 1 it will mean that there is essential plant at this MPRN value of 0 (exceptional) - there is not essential plant at this MPRN
