PHOTOSYNTHESIS (THYLAKOIDS).
• ONLY PHOTOSYNTHETIC PROKARYOTES THAT
PRODUCE OXYGEN AND ARE NITROGEN-FIXING (N
AMMONIA, NITRITES, OR NITRATES) UNDER
ANAEROBIC CONDITIONS.
• UNICELLULAR, FILAMENTOUS OR COLONIAL SPECIES.
• AQUATIC HABITATS- OCEANS, FRESH WATER, DAMP
SOIL, AND MOISTENED ROCKS.
• CAN BE BENEFICIAL AND SOME ARE NUISANCE (HABS).
