This slideshow covers most of the events I attended as a media assistant with Harlem Talk Radio. The Verizon Empowerment event photos were taken with a Cannon HDV30 camera, while the others were taken with a Sony Cybershot camera and the iPod 4. I took most of these photos to build my portfolio and some just for fun.

The Spirit of Community David Shrobe’s “March” is about the law and the system within the urban landscape, with Harlem's response against police brutality. The photo was taken from the protest and march of slain victim Sean Bell . Sean Bell was killed on his wedding day by police in a case of mistaken identity. The image of Porky Pig portrays the police and helps to create the disconnection between the people who enforce the law and the rest of the American people .
