Hardware Design Engineer/ Senior Engineer Responsibilities: ·Responsible for design, development, documentation and testing of R&D embedded hardware that fulfill the requirements and specifications of the standard and customer requirement. ·Integrate new technologies into the circuit boards while maintaining DFC, DFM and DFT objectives ·Simulate electronic circuits and layouts using signal integrity and power integrity tools. ·Deliver R&D embedded hardware prototype by implementing hardware design covering from components selection, schematics capturing, design debugging and testing. ·Follow the design rule as stated in the design development procedure to ensure the hardware block maintainability & reusability. ·Verify prototypes against detailed engineering specifications as well as internal and industry standards ·Create logic circuits on programmable logic devices (FPGA; CPLD) using high level design languages (Verilog, VHDL). ·Work closely with other design group on product design / development in order to obtain optimum system performance ·Maintain, upgrade and customized design as requested. Requirements: ·Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent. ·At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position. ·Electronics design knowledge in power management, communication design, high-speed design, mix-signal design and embedded system design. ·Familiar with standards-based design such as PCIe, USB will be an advantage. ·Knowledge and experience in motherboard design, ARM processor and embedded processor will be an added advantage. ·Experience in PCB layout design, signal integrity and EMC regulations will be an added advantage. ·Experience in creating logic circuits on programmable logic devices will be an added advantage. ·Experience in product transfer and manufacturing activities. ·Good troubleshooting techniques to research technical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions with the ability to work independently. ·Positive attitude & good team player.
