These pieces are just pounded together and will hold firmly in place yet, with pliers, can be separated if in need of repair.

These gels are used in the theater for coloring spot lights. They can be ordered from Rosco or other brand names. Their website is Rosco.com where you’ll find all sorts of cool info about color. They have thousands of colors available and you can check them out on line. I’ve used #382 Congo Blue, #91 Primary Green and #27 Medium Red but feel free to explore. They also have magenta, yellow and cyan if you’d like. Be sure to check with your theater folks--they’ll probably already have what you need.

All of the PVC was purchased at Menards and isIncredibly inexpensive. Two 10-foot pieces of Schedule 40 PVC will cost only a couple of bucks and the connectors are 14 cents a piece.I would suggest purchasing a standard “Pipe CutterPVC Pipe” which is usually less than 10 bucks. Itcuts smoothly like a pruning shears. Cutting with a saw works but it results in rough ends and a lot of statically charged plastic bits flying all over the place.
