Chinmaya College of Arts, Commerce and Science is a premier institute of higher education affiliated

to MG University, Kottayam, Kerala. Chinmaya College was founded in 1995 in keeping with the ideals

of the great visionary and sage Pujya Swamiji Chinmayananda. One of Swamiji's earliest disciples

Smt Janaki N Menon, was the founder of Chinmaya College. The College proliferated under the able

guidance of Smt Kamakshi Balakrishna, the founder director and a renowned educationist. Chinmaya

College is currently managed by Chinmaya Educational and Cultural Trust (Greater Cochin).

The beautiful, serene Chinmaya College campus located in the heart of Tripunithura, is separated by just

one kilometer from the Pettah Metro Station. The collegeoffers the most promising courses in diverse

disciplines that aim to create a generation of skillful individuals. The focus is on nurturing professionally

Eligibility: Pass in plus two or equivalent examination recognized by the university with 45% of the aggregate in part III optional subjects.

BBM

Eligibility: Not less than 50% mark for qualifying exam.

BCA

Eligibility: Pass in the Plus two / Equivalent examination in science stream with. Mathematics or Computer Science as optional

BA Programme in English Literature and Communication Studies (Double main)

Eligibility: Pass in plus two or equivalent examination recognized by the university with 45% aggregate in PART III optional subjects.

BA Economics Model II Foreign Trade (Vocational)

Eligibility: Pass in plus two or equivalent examination recognized by the university with 45% aggregate in PART III optional subjects.

M. Com

Eligibility: B.Com/BBA/BBM under Part-Ill Core Group (Core + Complementary + Open Courses) with not less than CGPA of 1.8 out of 4.B.Com/BBA/BBM under Part III (Main/Core + subsidiaries / complementary with not less than 45% marks.

EXCEL WITH CHINMAYAPlacement Cell

The college has an active placement cell that coordinates the hiring activities of the students and serves as

an interface between the students and the corporate world. Final year degree students from various

streams of our college had successfully bagged 110 placement offers in reputed organizations such as

Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Cognizant, TCS, Sutherland, Yodlee etc in the academic year

2019-20.

Sports

Our students baggedenviable positions in Fencing (5 medals in State Fencing Championship, 11in

University including 2nd in Men's category and 4th in Women's Category), Taekwondo (silver medal in

university) and Physic Championship (Bronze medal). It is a matter of great pride that our student

Abhijith S G secured bronze medals in Fencing in Under 23 National Fencing Championship and Khelo India

national university games. Participation was also ensured in table Tennis, Chess, Basketball, Cricket,

Football, Badminton and Athletics at the State and University level.

N.S.S

The college has an active N.S.S wing that practices the motto of "service". In addition to the regular

activities, this year,the unit organized programmes like Maalinya Muktha Campus Graamam, Ek Bharat

Shresht Bharat, Swatch Pakvatha etc. in the campus.Students were selected for the Karmasena project by

the state government that imparts training in disaster management.

Club Activities

Various clubs function to encourage literary, cultural, sports and entrepreneurship activities among the

students. COMPAC - The Computer Association, EXCELSIOR - The Management Association, EMPORIO -

The Commerce Association, SEVANA - The Charity and Social Service Club, Entrepreneur Development

Club, Mercadeo - The Marketing Club, Krithi –TheArtsClub, Women EmpowermentCell, theSportsClub,

Quiz Club, Literary Club, Dramatics Club and Media Club organized various activities from time to time to

help promote the holistic development of the students.
