• Master of Business Administration (MBA)• a classic Master of Business Administration programme for
professionals, who have at least 3 years of relevant business work
experience and who want to make a next step in their careers.
• Master in International Business and Management
(MIBM)• a direct-entry programme for undergraduates with a BBA or a
relevant business bachelor degree, the programme is focused on
the international business.

Required academic background
• Students must hold a valid bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an Hanze UAS approved degree awarding body, university or college (no GMAT required).
Other requirements
• A minimum of 3 years of professional business related work experience in the role of specialist (e.g. Accountant, Financial Analyst, Lawyer, Consultant, Policy Advisor), manager or entrepreneur.
• English language proficiency should be proven with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL ibt score of 80.
• A letter of motivation.
• An extended up-to-date CV (responsibilities, tasks, achievements).
• References are not required unless specifically requested by the Admissions Committee during the admissions process.

Required Academic background
• Students must hold a valid and relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an by Hanze UAS approved
degree awarding body, university or college (no GMAT required).
• A bachelor of business administration (BBA) or a business bachelor degree accompanied by a transcript that
holds all the following courses:
– Human Resource Management
– Operations Management or Supply Chain Management
– Financial Management
– Marketing Management
– Strategic Management
• In some cases, admission may be granted if one or more of these courses are missing on the student's
transcript. Students are required to bring themselves up to the bachelor's level of this course though self-
study before beginning the master's programme. A self-study literature list will be provided.
Other requirements
• English language proficiency should be proven with an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL ibt score of 80.
• For the DD option in ARU an IELTS score of 6.5. or a TOEFL ibt of 90 is required.
• A letter of motivation.
• A CV.
• References are not required unless specifically requested by the Admissions Committee during the
admissions process.

MIBM Double Degree
• First semester at Hanze UAS
• Second semester at ARU (from end of January – beginning of May)
• Third semester – thesis project in a company anywhere in the world
• Students will get an MBA degree from Hanze UAS and a MSc in
International Business from the ARU
• IELTS 6.5 (or its equivalent) needed
• Students can decide whether to opt for the DD or not till the end of
October

How to apply
1. Make an account at www.studielink.nl
2. At the Studielink choose Hanze UAS and add new enrolment for the MBA or Master in International Business and Management with intake in September 2017
3. Receive an email from Hanze UAS Student Administration with the link to Hanze Apply, username and password
4. Enter the Hanze Apply website and change the given password, save the new password.
5. Choose your application in a list and proceed to the webpage, where you should download documents for the admission:
– Official valid Bachelor’s diploma and transcript translated in English
and verified by a sworn translator
– A letter of motivation
– A CV
– English test result (IELTS/TOEFL/TOEIC/ESOL)
– A valid international passport
• Application deadline for international students is 1 June, the visa application deadline is 1 July

Studying and living in Groningen
• Approx. monthly living expenses in Groningen – 800-900,00 EUR, including rent, groceries, transport, insurance + a bike costs 60-80,00 EUR.
• Students purchase books themselves, it costs approx. 500-800,00 EUR per semester.
• Hanze UAS doesn’t have a dormitory, but we help students to find a room for rent through our partner SSH. The rent of room is around 350-400,00 EUR per month.
• Students can work 10 hours per week, but then the employer should apply for the work permit.
• After graduation, having obtained a Master’s degree, students can apply for "a search year" visa (residence permit) and use this time to find a job in the Netherlands.
