Student AttendanceStudent Attendance•HJUHSD requires 90 percent attendance each year for students to participate in graduation ceremonies.
•The 90 percent attendance rule means that studentscannot miss more than 18 days of school per year.
•Student absences because of illness, doctor’s appointments or other medical reasons will not count against the 90 percent requirement if cleared by a note from the doctor’s office.

Nothing below a C in the A-G classes 9th grade – 12th grades. A “D or F” will need to be repeated in Unit Recovery. • Get involved! Opportunities available in clubs, church, sports, fine arts and academics. You can join a club at any time! • Visit & get to know collegeboard.com • Start a resume NOW and document your activities for (sports, clubs, church, band, choir…) • Take the PSAT (practice SAT) and/or PLAN (interest inventory & practice ACT) next year. Both are college testing requirements. • Use the “Career Cruising” to research your interest areas and careers you are interested in. • Begin visiting local colleges. • Know where the Career Center is! • Stay in contact with your counselor!
