Handmade Holiday #1 Wool Infinity Scarf Supplies: You will need a suiting weight wool, any pattern that you want, 60” wide. Depending on how wide you like your scarf to be, you can use anything from 1/3 of a yard to ½ yd. For our scarf we used 1/3 of a yard. You will need a suiting weight wool, any pattern that you want, 60” wide. Depending on how wide you like your scarf to be, you can use anything from 1/3 of a yard to ½ yd. For our scarf we used 1/3 of a yard.

Cutting: All you need to do is cut the selvedge off your piece of fabric that will be 60” wide and between 12-18” wide.

Construction:

Now turn inside out. Take both open ends and start pinning together, making sure to match your seams.

Using a hefty 1/4” seam allowance, start stitching around the circle as far as you can, leaving about 2-4” open.

Your seam opening will look like above, Now stretch it out and line it up as shown below and pin it together flat.

Now, using a small zig-zag stitch, close up this opening. The stitch will catch on the inside and go right over the edge on the outside. When you are done, it will look like this:
