Handmade Fermented Goat’s Milk Soap

THE SOLUTION

This natural handmade soap is made from goat’s milk that was

fermented in the presence of selected herbs. This fermentation

process, and the subsequent “cold saponification” process,

ensures that there is a high retention of natural glycerol, which

provides increased skin moisturizing and nourishing effects, and

lactic acid, which is a natural skin whitening agent. Additional

ingredients in the soap e.g. oats and honey provide effective

exfoliating properties; this, combined with the moisturizing and

nourishing effects, will leave the skin amazingly smooth and soft. Some additional properties of this product are:

• The natural acids and triglycerides in the goat’s milk is

closely matched to the skin’s natural pH, thus offering

superior protection

• High quality essential oils e.g. jojoba further enhance

moisturizing effects

• All-natural fragrances are effective aromatherapy and

antibacterial agents.

In a report published in 2012, the Malaysian soap market

generated total revenues of USD 55.7 million in 2010. This

represents a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.2%

for the period of 2006-2010. 72.9% of the market’s overall value

was from the sales of bar soap, which generated USD 40.6

million in 2010. For the next 5 years, it is forecasted that there

will be a slight decrease in CAGR (3.2% to 2.6%) for the period

of 2010-2015. The estimated revenue at the end of 2015 is

approximately USD 63.3 million.

Thus, there is a high chance this product can gain a strong
