    Handling systemsEDP maxiXYZ

    Description

The EDP maxi as it has been successfully built since many years has been extended by a X-axis with linear motor. Apart from scaleable strokes the system has a great rigidity for higher load capacities. The standard design works with the portal module PM 25 which serves as X-axis. For heavier loads and longer cantilevers the portal module PM 30 is used.

The vertical axis can either be operated with a pneumatic or electric linear motor or with a spindle drive.

Benefits: · high load capacitiy · variable strokes · large choice of modules · various periphery equipment

Handling systems EDP surface gantry maxi hanging

    Description

Due to a central positioning of the X-axis, the surface gantry maxi hanging can carrry out much longer movements on the Y-axis. The stroke of the Z-axis, however, is limited since it passes underneath the X-axis.

Compared to the conventional design of portals with double X-axis, lateral and hang-ing designs do not produce any torsion forces between the axes. Thus both systems feature a long service life and are easy to integrate.

Benefits: · large surfaces due to symmetric construction · high dynamics due to strong linear motors · easy installation

    Control technology Position sensor

    Description

The contact-free, magnetic-based position sensor with integrated evaluation electron-ics is used whenever a high position accuracy and dynamic, smooth movements are essential.

The system consists of a sensor and a strip where magnetic information is stored. Both components are firmly connected to the module.

The internal position sensor of the motor achieves a repeat accuracy of ± 0.05 mm and a deviation from the absolute accuracy between 0.1% and 0.4% (depending on the module). If these values are not accurate enough we recom-mend an external position sensor.

Benefits: · high repeat accuracy and absolute accuracy · dynamic and smooth movements · reduction of control noise · 10 µm or 1 µm resolution according to customer requirements

    Linear modules EDM 20 R

    Description

The linear module EDM 20 R is extremely light and dynamic. In connection with the EDM 25 it is ideal to reach short cycle times. The moving cylinder profile and a high-quality linear guide ensure a very rigid and light construction. Due to the double-row guide with bead chain this module runs very smoothly, has a long service life and long lubrication intervals.

Identical to the EDM 25, the stroke adjustment is made via adjusting screws at the end of the module. By loosening the clamps and turning the adjusting screws you can adjust end position, damping and sensors at the same time. Thanks to the inte-grated pneumatic damping, the EDM R is also suitable for very short cycle times.

Benefits: · slim design · high-quality linear guide with bead chain, free of backlash · high dynamics · no shock absorbers and thus little wear · high availability through optimum tube and cable guide

    Linear modules EDM 25

    Description

The linear module EDM 25 is based on a profile cylinder with a prism shaped guide and eight tensioned roller bearings free of backlash. Through this type of construction it is possible to reach a high rigidity and a light weight at the same time.

Stroke adjustment can be carried out by means of adjusting screws at the end of the module. By loosening the clamps and turning the adjusting screws you can adjust end position, damping and sensors at the same time. Adjustments can also be car-ried out during operation (under pressure). In this case the tiresome cycle of adjusting, testing, adjusting, testing is not necessary. As you can see, time is not only saved with cycle time but also during installation and adjustment of the modules.

Benefits: · light weight · high rigidity · easy stroke adjustment · no shock absorbers and thus little wear · series 60, 160 … 360 mm offer more strokes while overall length stays the same

    Portal modules PM 25 EL

    Description

The electric portal modules PM 25 EL are easy to assemble, program and start-up. Due to their high flexibility and dynamics they are especially suitable to perform tasks with short cycle times, long movements and heavy loads.

The modules are available in 2 versions. · The standard sliders Ø 20 mm move by means of a sliding guide in the stator. For longterm lubrication and for protection against dirt in the environment, the sta-tors are equipped with wipers.

    · The smaller sliders Ø 19 mm move contact-free inside the stator, making it unne-cessary to lubricate them.

The integrated precision recirculating ball bearing guide is mounted on a milled sur-face and thus ensures a high rigidity and accuracy.

A position sensor is integrated in the motor. For very high demands on accuracy we offer an external position sensor with a resolution of 5 µm and 1 µm.
