Many wholesalers showcase a dedicated section for handicraft gifts and accept orders for personalized handicraft gifts. Given the range of handicrafts including textile, wood, stone, shell, etc., the range of gifts that are crafted and presented is immense. However, here are some of the lesser known handicraft gifts that are crafted and gifted across the country.

Handicraft gifts are quite popular as both personal gifts and traditional ceremonial gifts. With a history of traditions that are as diverse as our culture, there is not a single traditional ceremony that passes by without a handicraft presence. The Exports Review during 2016-17(April-September) by EPCH sheds some light on the Handicrafts export scenario in the country. A growth of 18.28% in the revenue was recorded with the United State lighting up the chart with a share of about 28 per cent of India's total handicrafts exports, UAE (11 per cent) coming in second, followed by Germany, UK and Latin American Countries. Home textile products exported from India include pillowcases, sheets, blankets, carpets, rugs, curtains, towels, table cloths, sofa covers, bathroom accessories, wall hangings and the likes. Traditional textile industries of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Orissa contribute extensively to home textile crafts with their signature forms of crafting.
