7Dear Parents,
Welcome to Drama at Dulwich College Shanghai.
In the Drama Department, our key aim is to allow our students to grow and develop their creativity and resilience by exposing them to a wide range of performance practices and skills. We believe that Drama is for everyone and encourage our whole community to get involved.
As well as our wide-ranging and rigorous curriculum, we offer a large variety of CCA activities, from large-scale productions, to smaller, ensemble based clubs. In this handbook you can get a taste of our work, with descriptions and pictures from some of our projects last year.
We hope to see you in one of our audiences soon!
ms. Carla Graves Head of Drama

This year, the music and drama departments teamed up to work on our Senior School musical, ‘Oliver!’. With over 110 students involved,
it was a real community production and we were thrilled with our sell-out audiences and fantastic reviews!

This year, Dulwich College Shanghai hosted the festival, joined by practitioners from the Royal Shakespeare Company and other Dulwich schools. It was such
a success that Dulwich College Shanghai has been asked to host again this year, and we are hoping the festival will be even bigger and better!

International Schools Theatre Association Hong Kong 201
Every year, we take our students to an international theatre festival to allow them to experience working with practitioners and other students from different
schools and cultures. At the end of the festival, they perform their work to a live audience which embraces the local culture and theme of the festival.
