LOCKING THE DOORS
Infrared remote control
This controlsthe locking and unlocking of the
doors and boot or tailgate.
Point the remote control owards he receiv er
under Ihe interior mirror from a distance of

Two methods of operation
Uslng the remote control:
To lock: press bun on A.
To deadlock: press button

Using he ignition key:
To lock: turn the key towards the rear.
To deadlock: turn he key owards the rear and
hold t for second.
To unlock: turn the key towards the front.
ENGINE IMMOBILISER*
This locks the engine control system and
therefore prevents starting of the vehicl e by
anyone who has not got the key,
Operation
When the ignition s switched on. the key code
is recognised by the engine immobiliser sys-
tem and starting s possible.
The engine mmobiliserautomaiically ocks he
engine control syslern a few moments after
the ignition has been switched off.
Confidential card
This shows the identification code which is
required 11any work is carried out on the
system by a PEUGEOT dealer. This code is
hidden by a film which must not be removed
unless required.
Keep your card n a safe place, never in your
vehicle.

Opening and closing the doors from
the outside
Using the key
To open, turn he key and hen pull he handle.
To lock, turn the key. Each lock secures the
corresponding door.
Using
the key and the central locking
system

tailgate, urn the key n the lock of the driver s
door

doors and he boot or tailgate will ock or
unlock automatically.
Using the remote control*
Point he remote control owards he receiver
below the interior mirror from a distance of
less than 5 metres.
Press the button on the remote control .
The doors and boot or tailgate will lock or
unlock automatically.
If he remote control does not work, press the
button again, changing the angle of aim.
Wait at least one second before pressing he
button again.
Avoid:

pointlng the transmitter away from the
receiver
-transmitting from more than 5 metres from
the vehicle
having any obstacle between he transmitter
and the vehicle.
Impotta nt: ensure hat he batteriesare n good
condition. The red ndicator ight ndi cates hat
the transminer is operating correctly, it does
not indicate opening or locki ng of the doors.

When the engine is warm, the coolant tem-
