Knowledge, Wisdom and Compassion

Our logo has three beautiful symbols: the books, the sun and the lotus. Books represent Knowledge, the sun dispels the darkness of ignorance signifying Wisdom and the lotus symbolizes the unfolding of spirituality representing Compassion. From books, we gain knowledge and when properly directed knowledge ripens into Wisdom. This Wisdom leads to compassion. This is the path towards Enlightenment.

STC in the path of excellenceSTC commenced its indelible mark on educational service on the GoldeJubilee Year of our independence in the year 1997 on the day dedicated to Goddess Saraswathi considered as symbol of learning and celebrated traditionally throughout the country as Vijayadasami. The seed for this ever growing tree of education was sown by the three Philanthropic families who founded the charitable trust named as V.S.V. Vidyaa Mandir with a view to provide value and skill based higher education to the rural students in and around Pollachi which is epitomized in its official logo having inscription of the words,”KNOWLEDGE WISDOM AND COMPASSION”. After more than a decade of service, our Institution runs currently in 16th year and is deeply rooted in the philosophy of the institution which reads as “When an Institution becomes very important to the society, it no longer belongs only to its founders, but to the whole society”.

In its first year of inception the college offered four under graduate courses: B.Sc (CS), B.Com, BBM and BCS.
