What an honor and a privilege it is to be able to represent such an amazing community! Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. I hope that I can fill the big shoes that Matt had, and live up to expectations. I would like to thank everyone who came out to support our first Easter Extravaganza. We had some minor electrical problems, but all in all, it was a success. Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers that came out and made the morning amazing for all of the kids that attended. Volunteers truly are the heart of our community! Your Community Association has been working very hard to plan some awesome events for Hampton Village. We have the Community Garage Sale and BBQ that is happening in May. This is the perfect time to get out and meet some of your neighbors, as well, come out to the BBQ and meet some of the fantastic set of volunteers that make up our Community Association. We also have a new event happening in June. There will be a Rib Night and Silent Auction Fundraiser at Joe’s Sports Bar. With the snow gone and the ground thawing, construction of our community rink will be starting soon! We’ve been waiting for it, and the time has finally come for ground breaking this spring! All money raised from our events goes to the construction of our community rink. We still have a lot of money to raise, so I hope that everyone will come up to our events so that we can complete the rink quickly so we can all enjoy the facility! I would like to remind everyone that everything done in the community is done by volunteers. No matter how big or small the event or job, we are always in need of more volunteers. Please take the time to volunteer and make a huge difference in our community. If you have any question or would like to volunteer for an event, I would love to talk with you. You can email me at [email protected] If you would like to attend one of our meetings, we meet every 3 rd Monday of the month. The schedule is up on our website at www.saskhvca.com I hope everyone has a wonderful spring and summer. I hope that you are all able to get outside and to enjoy all that our community has to offer, whether it’s walking or jogging through the park, to grabbing a glove and playing catch. I look forward to meeting many of you out in the park or at one of our spectacular events! Sincerely, Justine McCaffrey HVCA President

Garage Sale Tips- Set Up & Sale Day • Be Prepared before Start Time. Early Birds

will come, if you advertise an 8:00 am start,

people will arrive early (7:30).

•Have enough tables to display your items, if

you don’t have sturdy tables, set out a clean

blanket on the ground to lay your items on.

Don’t bunch things in boxes. The more items

on display the easier it is for buyers.

•Take the time to organize: Keep all glass

items together, collectibles together, books

and magazines together, toys together, etc.

You can use shallow boxes, baskets or tubs to

hold glassware (helps prevent them from

falling off the table & breaking).

•Clothing is best sold if hung neatly on a rack

(a broom stick between two ladders works)

and price clearly.
