Reminding you of the following Fire Prevention Safety Tips:

• Test alarms once a month by pushing the test button.

• Replace all the batteries at least once a year.• If the alarm “chirps” it is a warning signal letting you

know the batteries need to be replaced or the entire alarm does if it has non-replaceable batteries that are designed to work for ten years.

• Replace all your smoke alarms when they are ten years old or sooner if they are not working properly.

• Alarms should be installed in every bedroom, outside each sleeping area, and on every level of your home - including the basement.

• Interconnected smoke alarms have the best protection. If one sounds, they all sound.

• Everyone in your home should know the sound of the smoke alarm.

• Remember to practice your escape plan at least twice a year when testing the smoke alarms.
