Google Scholar offers you access also to HAMK e-collections, both articles and books. To achieve this, you need to change your Scholar settings.
Please note that changes are only needed on your personal computer and mobile device. On HAMK computers, the link to Scholar has already been established.
Go to Google Scholar. The direct address is scholar.google.com, but you can also Google it. You can find the settings on the top right hand corner.
Next choose Library links on the left.
Use the search window to find the two HAMK links and make sure they have been activated.

Once the settings have been changed, Google Scholar gives you direct links to HAMK e-collections, both articles and books. Let us see how this works in practice.
Let us assume we are interested in sustainable leadership. Type in the topic and click the search button.
On the results list, if the article is in HAMK collections you will find a direct link on the right.
The link opens an SFX window. On the availability information, you can see that the full text is available in Ebsco database. Click the Ebsco link.

If you are outside HAMK network, at this point you need to login. Type in your HAMK user id and password.
Now you can see more information about the article. Use the pdf icon to access the full text version.
Let us return to the search results. If you are interested in a book, you can easily check if the book is in HAMK library collections. On the reults list, click More.
Now you will see a link titled HAMK SFX links. Click the link.
On the SFX window, you can check the availability either in HAMK Finna or in Melinda. Melinda shows you the book’s availability in all Finnish university libraries. This time, however, we’ll choose HAMK Finna.
Finna tells us that the book is currently available in HAMK. You can order the book by logging in to Finna.
