As you know Chris Dey’s headteacher appointment was only temporary aſter David Jones leaving us. Therefore, we are now recruing for a permanent headteacher and are happy to let you know that next week we are interviewing 3 potenal candidates. Once the Governors have made their decision we will be delighted to announce who the new headteacher will be. Do you have any old carpet you would like to get rid of that we can use in our garden area to keep those weeds at bay? Many thanks Jayne Miners Thank you to everyone who came and helped garden on Monday. The school is already looking much dier. School trip on Monday 21st May Don’t forget that Monday is our whole school trip to Rosemoor Gardens. Please ensure you are in school by 8.50am as we will be leaving promptly at 9.00am. If you haven’t ordered a school packed lunch, please ensure you child brings one with them along with a water bole. Thank you to everyone who brought a bag of unwanted clothes into school this week. You have helped raise £108.00. Many thanks, Friends of Halwill School. There will be a table top uniform sale on Monday 21st to be held outside the school doors @ 3:30pm. There will be tables set up for you to use if you would like to sell any unwanted items of uniform.

Arthur Collman – Wow, great estimating for our maths this week.

George Wonnacott – You showed us all how well you can count in 10’s and 1’s. You also did some amazing

writing! What a great week for learning.

Georgina Griffith – Great growth mindset for our seed packet activity. You kept on going and didn’t give up – Fabulous.

Class 2

Year 2’s – You have worked really hard with your SAT’s this week. We are really proud of how you ap-

proached them with such positivity.

Year 1’s – Thank you for being supportive and thoughtful towards the year 2’s this week. You were very

well behaved during a busy and off timetable week.

Class 3

Gracie Nott- Wow Gracie you independently used the inverse to solve some tricky multi-step missing num-

ber problems!

Emily Lamb - Great focus and making good choices as to where to sit for independent tasks this week.

Oscar Jones - Super writing this week Oscar! You really worked hard and definitely produced your best

work!

Oscar Ody - Well done Oscar some great explanations given in Book Talk and you used evidence from the text.

George Folland - Lovely presentation of your work this week George!

Tyler Hooper - A great effort with your homework this week, extending your sentences with subordinate

conjunctions!

Year 6 – We are so, so proud of you all! You have worked so hard this week, but most of all well done for

all staying positive and cheerful. Great work.
