WhenPurified Protein Derivative (PPD) skin tests are utilized; they will beread between 48 and 72 hours after placeme!)t.TB teSting will be accompllshedIn accordance. with the latest Centersfo r Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines and the result promptlydocumented in the federal detaInee's medicalrecord. Special requestsfor expedited TB testing and clearance (to Include time sensitivemoves) will be accomplished through advance coordInation by theFederal Govemment and Lo.cal Governmerit.The Local Government will immepiately notify the Federal Governmentof any cases of suspected or active TB or any other highlycommunicable disease such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome(SARS), Avi"an Flu, Methicillin-resistant $taphy.lococcus Aureus (MRSA),Chicken Pox, etc., which might affect scheduled transportsorproductions so that protective measures can be takenby the FederalGovernment.When a federal detainee is b ~ i n g transferred and/or released from thefacility,.they will be provided with seven: days.of prescriptionmedication which will be dispensed from the facility.
