Hajj Brochure 2019 / 1440 AH
In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House – for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves – then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.

Just wanted to say thank you for everything that was done to ensure we all had a safe and fantastic experience. Alhumdulillaah with Allahs grace we had a phenomenal time and I am so happy we went with Hasan Hajj. Now InshaAllah if Allah permits I will be joining you guys again but this time with my husband. I’ve been telling so many people how much I would recommend you guys as I can honestly say we had the time of our lives. You guys were on point from the moment we reached Rusaifa till we departed KSA. It was so sad to leave which was a clear reflection on how much love we knew we were leaving behind. We made new friends, that slowly became family. Strangers who became our support system. ~ Fatima

Hajj FAQs
Does anyone accompany the group from the UK?
Yes, our Hasan Hajj Team will accompany the group from the UK. Most of us have performed Hajj many times as well and are fluent in Arabic. We also have a Saudi team that joins us once we arrive in Saudi Arabia, which has decades of experience in organising Hajj.
Medical Doctor from UK will travel with the Group.
Scholars and Imams will travel to provide guidance pre-travel and throughout the jourmey.
Do you provide any religious guidance?
One of the strengths of our package is that we offer extensive guidance before and during the Hajj tour. Fol-lowing your booking we will give you some information and a recommend-ed reading list. A few weeks before departure we arrange a dedicated pre-Hajj fiqh course as well as a one-day Hajj Seminar where further information is given as well as practical advice for pilgrims. Partici-pants also have an opportunity to ask questions during these programmes. We also hold lectures throughout the pilgrimage. Qualified religious guides
accompany the tour throughout, of-fering guidance and answering ques-tions.
Are the packages advertised actually 5 star?
It should always be noted that all hotels in KSA are star graded by the Ministry of Tourism in KSA and are of Saudi Arabian regulatory standard.
Hotel services and amenities:
The services and quality of hotels are by no way the same as international standards and grading. For example, there are no hotels providing swim-ming pools, cinemas or other leisure amenities. There are some hotels that provide spa/gym services but they are still limited.
Room type:
The room occupancy in Hajj by most hotels is maximised using extra beds.
For example:
Triple Room during high occupancy comprises of a Double/Twin Room with an extra bed.
Double Room: most hotels provide Twin Rooms during busy periods as King Bed occupancy (to swap and
change for those who cannot sleep in 1 bed during busy times) is difficult to logistically change quickly when thou-sands of pilgrims check-in /out at the same time.
How do I book?
We require 1 x completed booking form by the lead passenger, passport copies of all travellers and a deposit of £2000 per person. Booking forms are available on request by contacting us.
When do I pay?
A non-refundable deposit of £2000 per person is required at the time of booking and then regular pay-ments every 4 weeks with the balance cleared off by 20th June 2019.
I do not have a British pass-port – Can I obtain a visa for Hajj?
Non-British passport holders can get a Hajj visa from the UK if they are on a resident work permit, spouse or stu-dent visa and, hold a passport with limited or indefinite leave to remain, valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel. Anyone carrying visit vi-sas will not be granted a hajj visa.
Is the room occupancy level guaranteed?
Once we have accepted your booking and confirmed with you, the room oc-cupancy booked is guaranteed for ho-tels in Makkah and Madinah depend-ing on which package you choose.
What happens if the date of Hajj changes due to moon sighting?
Our itinerary has been set according to the official Saudi calendar. Howev-er, if due to the actual sighting of the moon the day is adjusted, we have no control over this and will have to adjust the programme accordingly. We cannot prepare for this eventual-ity in advance and will do our utmost to make alternative arrangements. (Have a 1 day grace period for the itinerary).
What is the last date for booking?
We do not have a published deadline for bookings. Our capacity is limited and once the last space for a particu-lar package is booked, we will not be able to accept any further bookings. Our packages are very popular and sell very quickly – we therefore rec-ommend that you book as soon as possible.
Where are your tents in Mina?
We use European tents as used by most UK groups, and offer VIP (Saudi VIP) services including sofa-beds, add-ed AC units, hot food, plaster-board cladded tents (to keep the tent cool) and 24 hour hot / cold drinks.
I am a lady – Can I travel with-out a Mahram?
A condition of Hajj is that all women must be accompanied by a close male relative (Mahram-Guardian) – we are unable to accept any bookings from lone females, although over 45’s may travel in groups alone according to the Saudi authorities.
Can I book a Haram facing room in Makkah or Madinah?
All our rooms are standard rooms, therefore we are unable to secure a Haram view room. However, if we are given any Haram view rooms, these are allocated on a random basis to remain as fair as possible. Please do ask our office representative if there is a possibility to confirm Haram View room at extra cost.
Are Hajj drafts included in the package price?
Yes, the Hajj drafts as required by the Saudi government are included. (Min-istry of Hajj Transport and Hajj Service Charge)
How do I get my clothes washed?
There are many laundrettes near the Haramain in Makkah and Madinah that can wash and press your clothes, usually within 24 hours. Ask one of the Hasan Hajj organisers or at the hotel reception. The 5 Star hotels provide this service for their guests, but it is considerably more expensive.
How much money do I need to take with me?
You should take enough money with you depending on your spending lifestyle. You will have to pay for the sacrifice (around £100), for personal expenses (ie snacks and take away meals) and tips.
How much does a meal cost?
An average meal is about 30 riyals (approx. £6).
What is the exchange rate?
The exchange rate is around 4.5 Sau-di Riyals to 1 British Pound.
Should I take traveller’s cheques?
No, because you will not have your passport with you to cash them. In-stead, take debit cards and credit cards.
Where can I exchange my pounds into riyals?
There are many money exchangers dotted around Makkah and Madinah, near to the Grand Mosques and at the airport. Five-star hotels will nor-mally exchange money but at a lower rate.
What if I get ill?
The group usually has a doctor that accompanies us from the UK who will be available for advice and to prescribe medicine. Most medicines are available over the counter. If you need to go to hospital, you would be entitled to free medical treatment.
How are the men and wom-en accommodated in Mina?
Men and women stay in separate tents in Mina. The men’s and women’s tents are adjacent to each other. They will pray the Obligatory Prayers at the tents during Hajj in congregation.
Will I be able to contact my wife in Mina?
Yes, you may use a mobile phone to contact you spouse and meet outside the tent.
What interpretation of Islam will be adopted?
The travelling Scholars will be advising and guiding the Pilgrims according to the to the Quran and Sunnah -Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i and Hanbali Madhabs (Schools of thought), with under-standing and respect towards those Madhabs.
What happens to our suitcas-es during the Hajj days?
All the luggage will be kept at the Makkah Apartment and accessible if needed.
What kind of clothing should I take?
The weather is generally quite warm, so take light clothes. Due to Hajj being in the summer months now, we ad-vise cotton clothing and light colour-ed clothing to avoid absorbing heat.
How do I arrange to take Zamzam back to the UK?
Zamzam is provided complimentary at the airport upon departure. There is no need to purchase Zamzam in Makkah or Madinah separately. How do I arrange my sacrifice? We can arrange the sacrifice for you, it will cost approximately £100. You will be given the precise information in Makkah.
