Kate Middleton UpdoToday I had a bride who wanted her hair in an updo like Kate Middleton's.

I've never done this before, but I thought I'd create a step-by-step for the updo while I wasdoing it.

Curl all of the hair loosely with a flat iron or

curling iron.

Section out the sides to a little past each earand clip them aside. Then section out the top

and clip it aside as well.

Put the back section in a low ponytail. Create a chignon by looping small sectionsaround the ponytail and pinning them inplace.

Let down the top section and drape it overthe chignon, loosely twisting it and pushing it

upwards for more body. Secure with bobbypins.

Twist up the end of the hair remaining fromthe top section and add it to the chignon,

securing with bobby pins. Now the only hairleft out should be the two side sections.

Use the remaning hair on the sides to do twobraids going back, laying them on top of theupdo. In Kate Middleton's updo, she only has

one braid going down one side of her hair(the shallow side), but we decided to do

braids down both sides. Either way is

beautiful!

Secure the braids with bobby pins in theback.

hair for festivals, children, this seasons Spring & Summer boho look and can be achieved by

simply platting, 2 bands and a little creative knotting.

BOUFFANT

Modern version of the classic beehive.

Section off front hair from ear to ear.Divide front hair into two sections and

put back hair into a high ponytail.

Backcomb ponytail

Use a bristle brush to beginsmoothing top layer of hair only.

Gather smoothed ponytail into onehand.

Secure ends in a section clip.

Flip ponytail forward and grip in ahorseshoe shape, 2.5cm from

band.

Shows grips in place.

Flip hair back over and fold round tocreate a rounded shape. Grip at

centre back. Work right side, thenleft side and lastly top area.

Secure sides with hair pins..

Neaten edges with a tail comb.

Backcomb one front section leavinga small band of hair free.

Mist with hairspray then smooththis section and pull upwards at a

45* angle so it sweeps around bun.

Secure, just off centre back, using twohairgrips.

Use a tail comb to tuck ends of hairunder bun. Pin to hold in place.

Backcomb and mist other side of

hair with hairspray. Again leave asmall band of hair free as for first

Wrap hair round to back andsecure with two grips.

You know have four ponytails. Takereserved crown hair and brush

smooth. Divide off front piece - ourmodel had a long fringe section.

Take remaining front hair and brushsmooth to centre back of head and

secure at nape in a low ponytail.Picture shows this work complete

with the two higher ponytails clippedup and out of the way.

Grip a net to the base of eachponytail.

Use a section clip to hold nets on

crown while you continue to work.

Backcomb each ponytail.10

Smooth each ponytail and coverwith nets, coiling ends into large

curls.

Coil one section of hair round fingersand grip in place.

Dry hair using volumising brush,smoothing hair from roots to endsas you blow-dry. Use concentrator

nozzle on dryer to speed up thedrying process.

Create a front parting, takerectangular section on the bias

from hairline to crown as shown.

Twist this entire section of hairclockwise from roots to ends. Mist

with hairspray to eliminate stray ends.

Continue to twist the hair which willdouble back on itsself to form a

Secure the coil to the scalp usinga grip. this is the coil completed.

Continue working in same way untilall front section hair is twisted, coiled

and gripped into place.

Continue working with crown hairbut taking larger sections to work

Final coil on crown section beingcompleted.

Proceed into nape area taking adiagonal section, overdirecting

towards the crown, twist and coil thensecure into place. Repeat for other

side.

Finally fix stary ends using pins tocomplete the finished look.

Set top section of front hair onheated rollers, leaving side sections

Roller under netted ponytail tocreate a horseshoe shape.

Take a garland of flowers, form intoa horseshoe shape, roll round and

place ends of garland inside ends ofroll. Secure with hairgrips.

Take one side section of hair andtwist in a clockwise direction.

Take this section of hair over garlandto centre back and secure with pins.

Remove heated rollers andbackcomb front hair, mist with

hairspray and smooth over into aquaff. Hold shape with section clipswhilst pinning hair into a coil above

headdress. Mist with hairspray.

integral part of the finished look.
