Volume 1, Issue 5
December 2014
Drilling and energy companies across Austra-
lia are facing the harsh reality that the sharp
fall in crude oil prices is having a devastating
effect on our LNG industry.
The long term prospects, if the export price
falls low enough, could see some of our com-
panies going broke, domestic gas prices rock-
eting and the development of new gas fields,
potentially, cost prohibitive.
Hahn Group have developed a ‘Complete
Price per Well, per Operation Package’ to
help drilling and energy companies stay sus-
tainable, keep people in jobs and deliver gas.
Hahn Group can now offer any company in
Australia, using any size rig, an ‘on-site, fully
transportable, sump-less drilling and re-
source management’ solution which has a
proven track record of dramatically reducing
set-up and drilling costs.
Firstly, Hahn’s system cuts out the need for
expensive Vac Trucks, shale and skip bins.
As the drill muds are processed by Hahn on-
site, the water can be immediately returned to
the rig for reuse and enable significant sav-
ings as a result. The Hahn system also allows
for the reclaimed water to be moved to subse-
quent well sites for re-use.
This system can also be applied to work over
rigs.
Hahn Group also manages all cement return
resources within the ‘Fixed Price Package’.
In real terms, this massive, proven reduction
in overheads could mean the difference be-
tween remaining operational or having to
stand rigs down.

From Hahn Group
Imagine a grass that is not only drought tolerant
but also salt tolerant. Imagine a grass that could
make a huge contribution to communities where
recreational areas suffer due to prolonged peri-
ods without water. Imagine a grass that could be
irrigated with salty water.
Hahn Group are partnering with Australian
Sports Turf Consultants to field trial three such
grasses. Matt Roche, ATSC Director, has spent
12 years working with Sporobolus varieties and
in the last 12 months has developed 3 promising
varieties which are superior than ‘QLD‐Coast’.
MR-S6, MR-S8 M-RS9. The 3 varieties are
owned by ASTC and are in the process of being
protected by Plant Breeder’s Rights (PBR) in
Australia.
Hahn Group are the first company to be issued a
Material Transfer Agreement allowing us to
cultivate these new varieties. Our plan is to use
processed water from drill resources to irrigate
our trial crops. This is a very exciting project
for Hahn Group and we are looking forward to
on-going trials and research with Matt.

We have recently been testing

Vehicle Inspections’. This app
will be rolled out and compul-

2015.

“Safe Start”, will enable all our
drivers to better communicate
any maintenance issues with the

The New Year is shaping up to
be even bigger with the com-
pletion of our ‘Oily Water
Plant’ as well as confirmation
that we will be on the Panel of
Moreton Bay Regional Coun-
cils’ waste facilities suppliers.
This project will require Hahn
to pick up waste oils from
MBRC Waste Facilities and
manage / dispose of leachate
water both on and off site.
Antony Monrad based at Na-
rangba will be managing this
project.

Hahn Group CEO, Allan Lear,
flew to Townsville recently for
another meeting with GBRMPA
(Great Barrier Reef Marine Park
Authority). Rean Gilbert, Manager
Maritime and Defence for
GBRMPA invited Allan to speak
with Kirstin Dobbs (Director En-
vironmental Assessment and Pro-
tection), Rachel Reese (Manager
of Assessments), David Wa-

and herself to further discuss
Hahn's trial proposal in the
GBRMP.
We have developed a technology
to re-vegetate existing coral reefs
as well as our Reef Climate Mod-
ules used to build artificial reefs.
We will be pressing forwards in
the New Year once everything is
in place. This will be a great op-
portunity for us to showcase our
technology and how it could be-
come part of reef governance in
the future.
