HABITATION OF GOD

“FASHIONED IN CHRIST BY THE GOD OF ALL GRACE”

(Eph 2:19-22) The HolyTemple represents the workmanship of God developing the entire body of Christ

So that we will be prepared for a time of rest/peace for the people of God

Hopefully we are stones, pillars…being prepared now (after the types)

HABITATION OF GOD From the beginning God had a

purpose (Num 14:21;Isa 45:18)

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world… Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will (Eph 1:4-5)

Many types relating to this Holy Temple: Starting with the Cherubim/Flaming sword

“TO KEEP THE WAY”

The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden (Gen 2:8)

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep (preserve) the way of the tree of life (Gen 3:24)

Cherubim on the east side?

The way back is between the Cherubim’s, through the sword (AWAKE O SWORD Zech 13:8)

Now that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush (Luke 20:37-38)

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.(2Sa 7:12-13)

He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever… of his kingdom there shall be no end.

BUILDING ON THE only sure FOUNDATION

“YE ARE GOD’S BUILDING “(1 Cor 3)

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

SPIRITUAL HOUSEHOLD/CITYTHROUGH FAITH he looked for a city

which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.(Heb 11:10)

But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.(Heb 11:16)

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith (Gal 5:5)

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith (Rom 4:13)

JERUSALEM ABOVE

But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all (Gal 4:26)

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn (Heb 12:22)

A glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Eph 5:27)

And they two shall be one flesh…This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. (Eph 5:31-32)

PREPARED AS A BRIDE

The holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride (Rev 21:2)

the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready….arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

(righteousness by grace through faith) The riches of His grace in the ages to come

THE HOLY CITYAnd, behold, the glory of the God

of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory(Eze 43:2)

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. (Rev 21:23-24)

REMEMBER GOD’S

PURPOSE!

The earth will be inhabited and filled with God’s glory

All Nations will be Blessed!

His people must glorify God by:

Developing Godliness (“God – like” characteristics.)

Manifesting Him (as Jesus did)

God will dwell in His family tree……His building, the holy temple

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.(Eph 2:21-22)
