Bharat Mandir: Bharat mandir is the oldest temple of Riishikesh, which lies in the center of the old town on the Banks of the Ganges. Details of the

temple are described in ancient records of 'Kedarkhand'. The Inner sanctum of the temple has an idol of lord Vishnu, which is carved out of a single

'Saligram'.

Rishikund: Rishikund lies close to Trivenighat, and is the most ancient place of Rishikesh. Legends relate it to Kubz Saint , who was blessed by

Goddess Yamuna by saturating the pond through its water. The pond reflects the temple of Ragunath, which is dedicated to lord Sri Rama and his

soulmate Sita.

Triveni Ghat: It is the main 'ghat' in the town area where pilgrims take a holy dip. Every evening hundreds of pilgrims attend the Ganga Arti at the

Ghat.

Geeta Bhawan: It is one of the oldest temple complexes in the Rishikesh. The famous Indian epic Ramayana and Mahabharta are described on the

walls of Geeta Bhawan.

Parmarth Niketan: One of the most renowned temple complex and ashram in the area, which is known for its great work on Hinduism. The ashram

organises 'Ganga Arti' and Hawan on the Parmarth Ghat every evening.

Tera Manzil Temple: It is a multistory temple, which comprises idols of hindu Gods, and Goddesses. It is very popular among pilgrims as one can

have an excellent view of the entire zone from the top floor of the temple. Places to See in Haridwar

Hari Ki PauriHari ki pauri ghat was built by King Vikramaditya to commemorate the descending of Ganga after years of

 prints on a rock at this ghat. Everyday at twilight the Har ki pauri ghat comes to life with singing prayers and lit up lamps along the Ganges wh

Situated on the banks of River Ganges, the sanctuary is a haven for a large number of animals. This biodiversity park boasts of nearly 23 mamm

and about 315 fauna species. The river in the park houses large number of fishes and fauna in the water. At Chila you can have the pleasure

spotting leopard, tigers, jungle cat, herd of elephants, wild boar, stags, spotted deer, sloth bear, langur, monkeys, woodpecker, king cobra etc. Dur

the monsoons the park remains closed and otherwise it is open after sunrise and closed after dusk.

Har-ki-Pauri 

The Main ghat and is supposed to be at the precise spot where the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains. Consequently, the river's

 power to wash away sins at this spot is superlative and endorsed by a footprint Vishnu (God of Hindu) left in a stone here. The ghat is on the

west bank of a canal through which the Ganges is diverted just to the north. Each evening at sunset priests perform Ganga Aarti (the rive

worship ceremony) here, when lights are set on the water to drift downstream while priests engage in elaborate rituals. In addition to the main

ghat, a series of smaller ghats extends along the canal bank, with large orange and white life-guard towers at intervals to ensure that bathing

 pilgrims don't get swept away.

Bara Bazaar

On the north side of the canal, between Har-Ki-Pauri and the Upper Rd, is colorful Bara Bazaar. Along with the religious paraphernalia, o

 prasaad (food offered to the gods, images of the deities, religious pamphlets etc) are scores of tiny stalls crammed along both sides of bazaa

selling an assortment of goods including shawls, brassware, glass bangles, wooden whistels, bamboo canes and can baskets.

Mansa Devi Temple
